Massey (ankle) was returned from his rehab assignment Thursday and will be re-evaluated.

The Royals aren't offering any other specifics, but Massey was removed from his last rehab game with Triple-A Omaha on June 29 after he was hit by a pitch. More should be known about his status in the coming days. Massey has been out since early June with a left ankle sprain.

Gimenez is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees due to an ankle injury, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Gimenez had to be removed from Wednesday's win versus the Yanks in the ninth inning after hurting his ankle. Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Gimenez should be available off the bench Thursday, suggesting he'll have a shot to return to the lineup Friday against the Angels. Leo Jimenez is filling in at second base Thursday.

The Rays reinstated Kim (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Thursday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Kim has been on the injured list all season while working his way back from a shoulder procedure he underwent in October, though he's also been dealing with a hamstring issue over the past several weeks. Now fully recovered from both injuries, the 29-year-old infielder will make his Rays debut Friday against the Twins and is expected to work as Tampa Bay's primary shortstop going forward. Curtis Mead was optioned to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.

The Angels placed Moore on the 10-day injured list Thursday due to a left thumb sprain.

Moore suffered the injury during Wednesday's contest in Atlanta while making a diving play on a grounder in the sixth inning. The rookie infielder will be eligible for activation the weekend before the All-Star break, but thumb sprains can often take multiple weeks to heal. Kevin Newman figures to be the immediate beneficiary of Moore's absence, but the Angels could get Yoan Moncada (knee) back soon, which would allow Luis Rengifo to shift to second base to cover for Moore.

Gimenez isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Gimenez will take a seat for Thursday's series finale after going 5-for-8 with a homer, three RBI and four runs scored over his last two games. Leo Jimenez will fill in at the keystone for Toronto and bat ninth.

Dubon will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Thursday's game against the Rockies, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Dubon will cover shortstop for Houston for the fifth consecutive game and looks primed to serve as the Astros' primary option at the position until Jeremy Pena (rib) is ready to return from the injured list. The 30-year-old possesses strong contact skills and is striking out at a career-low 8.4 percent rate this season, but he doesn't hit the ball hard or for much power, which is reflected in his .247 batting average (.253 xBA) and his five home runs in 178 plate appearances.

Gimenez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Yankees.

Bumped up to the leadoff spot in the absence of Bo Bichette (knee), Gimenez delivered his second straight multi-hit performance. Since returning from a quad injury in early June, the second baseman is slashing .250/.341/.350 with two homers, a steal, nine runs and 12 RBI in 24 contests, but his lack of activity on the basepaths remains puzzling -- he's 10-for-11 on steal attempts in 2025, after swiping 30 bags in each of the prior two seasons for Cleveland.

Whitcomb went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Rockies.

Whitcomb was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, after Jeremy Pena (rib) was placed on the injured list. Whitcomb was in the lineup Wednesday as the designated hitter while slotting into the eighth spot in the lineup. He took advantage of the opportunity by slugging his first career home run in the second inning. Whitcomb looks to be in a reserve role, but he could continue to get sporadic looks at a combination of shortstop and designated hitter.

Castro went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Marlins.

He was also caught stealing, but it was still a productive night for the super-utility player, who was getting the start at second base and batting third. It was Castro's first multi-hit performance since June 15, as he was bothered by a sore wrist in late June, but he's made up for a lack of punch at the plate by getting busier on the basepaths -- half of his six steals on the season have come in the last five games.

Keith went 4-for-6 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

Keith tallied three hits in Game 1 and then added a pinch-hit, RBI double in the sixth inning of Game 2. The 23-year-old is riding a modest five-game hitting streak and has hit safely in nine of his past 11 games overall, with the latter stretch including five extra-base hits, six RBI and seven runs scored. For the season, he's slashing .258/.339/.418 with six home runs, 26 RBI and 36 runs scored across 257 plate appearances.
