Hernandez started at shortstop and went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Arizona.
Hernandez scored the first run in the Rangers' three-run fourth inning after singling and stealing second before a DJ Peters RBI single. It was the fourth theft in eight games for Hernandez. The Rangers continue to shuttle him between shortstop and third base, giving Hernandez four to five starts per week.

Altuve went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.
Altuve took Logan Gilbert deep in the third inning for his 26th homer of the season. The long ball ended a streak of 31 games without a homer for the second baseman. He also walked in the ninth inning and came around to score on an Alex Bregman home run. The 31-year-old has now collected a hit in six out of seven contests while batting .276 with five extra-base hits over that stretch.

Hernandez went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in Tuesday's 12-7 loss to Tampa Bay.
Hernandez missed nearly two weeks after testing positive for COVID-19, and he had a far-from-triumphant return to the lineup Tuesday. The utility man slashed .305/.426/.500 with three home runs, 12 RBI and 18 runs scored through 22 games in August, but it could take him a little more time to get back up to speed after his battle with the virus.

Motter was designated for assignment by the Red Sox on Tuesday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Motter filled in for the Red Sox amid the team's current COVID-19 outbreak, but he'll be cast off the 40-man roster after Danny Santana (undisclosed) and Enrique Hernandez (illness) were reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list. He went 2-for-6 with a triple, a double, three runs and an RBI across three appearances with the Red Sox.

Torres isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
Torres has been in the lineup for three of the four games since he returned from the injured list, and he's gone 3-for-13 with two runs, an RBI and four strikeouts during that time. Andrew Velazquez will take his place at shortstop and bat ninth.

Hernandez (illness) will rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
Hernandez rejoined the Red Sox on Monday, and manager Alex Cora confirmed Tuesday that Hernandez will return to the lineup and start in center field. The 30-year-old had been sidelined since Aug. 27 after he tested positive for COVID-19, but he'll be reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list ahead of Tuesday's matchup against Tampa Bay.

Indians' Ernie Clement: Reinstated, sent down
Clement (undisclosed) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list and optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
Clement had been on the injured list since Aug. 26, but he began a rehab assignment at Double-A Akron on Saturday. He went 1-for-7 with three strikeouts across his two appearances and will remain in the minors at Triple-A Columbus after right-hander Aaron Civale (finger) was reinstated from the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Lowe isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe will be out of the lineup for a second straight game since left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez is on the mound for Boston. Joey Wendle will shift to the keystone while Jordan Luplow starts at first base.

Altuve went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two walks, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-2 win over the Mariners.
Altuve doubled and scored in the second and then doubled once more in the fourth. He then drove in a run on a fielder's choice in the fifth to extend the Astros' lead to 8-2. The 31-year-old has put together consecutive multi-hit games since taking a breather Saturday and is slashing .273/.348/.473 with 25 homers, 69 RBI, 91 runs scored, four steals and 58:80 BB:K over 572 plate appearances this season.
