The 31-year-old is slashing a blistering .323/.364/.710 with three homers and three doubles through eight August contests. Walker's 43 extra-base hits place him top 30 in baseball while his .249 isolated power ranks 13th.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Sitting again Tuesday

Rizzo (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Rizzo will sit out for the fifth straight contest as he continues to deal with lower-back tightness. According to Jack Curry of YES Network, manager Aaron Boone said the 33-year-old will go through a full workout Tuesday, and if all goes well he should be back in the lineup Wednesday. DJ LeMahieu will remain at first base with Gleyber Torres receiving another start at the keystone.

Reds' Donovan Solano: Full-time DH role awaits

Solano will serve as the Reds' designated hitter and No. 5 batter in Tuesday's game against the Mets.

The righty-hitting Solano was already a fixture in the lineup against left-handed pitching when the Reds are at full strength, but he should be primed to get regular starts against right-handed pitchers like the Mets' Carlos Carrasco after Cincinnati placed his platoon mate at DH, Mike Moustakas (calf), on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. Solano owns a .289/.341/.421 slash line in 85 plate appearances versus righties on the season.

Manzardo decimated South Atlantic League pitching over the first four months of the season, slashing .329/.436/.636 with 17 home runs and a 45:46 BB:K in 275 plate appearances.
