Wagaman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Since the beginning of July, Wagaman is slashing just .119/.229/.143 with one extra-base hit (a double) in 13 games, and his ongoing struggles appear to be costing him some playing time. He'll take a seat for the second time in the series as Liam Hicks replaces him at first base.

Steer is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Steer has been nursing a sore quadriceps in recent days, but his absence from the lineup Wednesday appears to be more of a maintenance day with the Reds wrapping up their series in Washington with a day game after a night game. Santiago Espinal will step in at first base in place of Steer, who had started each of the Reds' previous 15 contests.

France went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks, one RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-7 win over the Dodgers.

France had a strong game from the No. 5 spot in the order, posting his first multi-hit effort since June 26 versus the Mariners. The first baseman has gone just 5-for-36 (.139) with three walks and seven strikeouts over 13 games in July, which has seen him slip into a fairly even timeshare with Kody Clemens at first base. Luckily for France, a righty, it hasn't become a straight platoon -- he's been in the lineup against three of the last seven right-handed starters the Twins have faced. For the season, France has a .249/.316/.357 slash line, six home runs, 43 RBI, 41 runs scored, 18 doubles and one stolen base across 367 plate appearances. Both France and Clemens could be at risk of losing playing time when Luke Keaschall (forearm) returns from the 60-day injured list, though Keaschall is expected to be more of a utility option once healthy.

Mayo went 1-for-1 with three walks and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Cleveland.

Mayo drew a career-high three walks and logged his second career game with multiple free passes. The resurgence of outfielder Ramon Laureano this season has enabled the Orioles to deploy All-Star Ryan O'Hearn as their primary first baseman in Ryan Mountcastle's (hamstring) stead, which has left Mayo without a clear path to playing time. Mayo is slashing just .205/.283/.301 with one home run, five doubles and nine RBI over 92 plate appearances, and he'll be a candidate to head back to the minor leagues once Mountcastle is healthy.

Schanuel went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Mets.

It was Schanuel's first career four-hit game and notably his fourth outing with at least three knocks in the month of July. The 23-year-old first baseman remains an everyday player for the Angels, though his fantasy upside remains somewhat limited by his lukewarm power production. Through 417 plate appearances, Schanuel is slashing .278/.367/.403 with eight home runs, 41 RBI, 44 runs scored and four stolen bases.

Torkelson went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Pirates.

While Torkelson has yet to go deep following the All-Star break, he has managed to go 6-for-18 with two walks in five games following the Midsummer Classic. The slugging first baseman is stuck on 21 home runs and 59 RBI, both of which are second on the team behind only All-Star starter Riley Greene. Torkelson figures to get into a power surge at some point, the path through which he delivers most of his fantasy value.

Bauers received a cortisone injection for his shoulder over the All-Star break, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Bauers will continue to receive treatment on his shoulder and sees mid-August as a possible return window. He had been going through some struggles at the plate before being placed on the IL, which may have been the result of playing through the shoulder discomfort that has sidelined him.

Goldschmidt is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.

It's Goldschmidt's turn for a day off after he had started each of the previous three contests. Ben Rice will cover first base and bat sixth for the Yankees.

Valdez is batting .182 with zero home runs and an 8:4 K:BB in 10 games since getting promoted from High-A Greensboro to Double-A Altoona on July 1.

A righty-hitting corner bat who won't offer much defensive value, Valdez slashed .303/.385/.592 with 20 home runs, a 9.9 percent walk rate and a 24.5 percent strikeout rate in 72 games at High-A prior to his promotion. His 172 wRC+ ranks second among all qualified High-A hitters, behind Josue Briceno (180 wRC+). As a 21-year-old bat-first player, Valdez will be expected to do plenty of damage at Double-A over the rest of the season.

Horwitz went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Monday against the Tigers.

Horwitz has bounced around the lineup since early July, but he's led off in five of the Pirates' last eight games against right-handed pitching. After a solid June, Horwitz has struggled to a .184 average in July, recording only three RBI and three runs scored across 14 games.
