Warming Bernabel 3B | COL
Rockies' Warming Bernabel: Continues blazing career start
Bernabel went 4-for-6 with a three-run home run, a triple, two runs and four RBI during Friday's 17-16 win over the Pirates.
Bernabel has been up in the majors for just six games, and he's certainly impressed in that small sample size while taking hold of an everyday role at first base. The 23-year-old has at least one hit in all six games and multiple hits in three of them, but he had undoubtedly his best performance Friday. Overall, Bernabel is slashing .476/.500/1.000 with three home runs and seven RBI.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Smashes solo homer
Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday's 9-3 loss to the Royals.
Guerrero got the scoring started with a solo home run to left field off Michael Wacha in the first inning. It was Guerrero's 16th home run of the season and fourth over his last 15 games. He has been hot at the plate since the All-Star break, slashing .397/.485/.690 with five doubles, four home runs and 12 RBI in 68 plate appearances.

Willson Contreras C | STL
Cardinals' Willson Contreras: Homers in Friday's loss
Contreras went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Padres.
Contreras opened the scoring in the fifth inning, but the Padres responded with all four of their runs coming in the bottom of the frame, including one that stemmed directly from Contreras' error. The 33-year-old had gone just 1-for-17 across his previous five games. He's now at 15 homers, 62 RBI, 53 runs scored, four stolen bases, 28 doubles and a .257/.342/.447 slash line through 105 contests this season.

Pete Alonso 1B | NYM
Mets' Pete Alonso: Homers in loss
Alonso went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Giants.
Alonso got the Mets on the board with a 414-foot blast in the seventh inning and then tied the game in the eighth with a sacrifice fly. It was a much-need effort from the 30-year-old, as he'd gone just 1-for-23 since last homering July 23. For the year, he's slashing .260/.352/.498 with 23 long balls, 83 RBI, 55 runs scored and a stolen base across 475 plate appearances.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Continues to heat up with homer
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Friday's 5-0 win over the Rays.
Freeman launched his 12th homer of the season, and he's now logged at least one hit in nine of his last 10 games. Although he underwent a dramatic cooldown at the dish in June and the first part of July following a sizzling start to the year, Freeman is finally getting back on track of late. Over his last 15 games (64 plate appearances), the All-Star first baseman is slashing .321/.406/.518 with two long balls, five doubles and 12 RBI.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Placed on IL
The Rays placed Aranda on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a fractured left wrist.
Aranda is expected to be sidelined for several weeks after he fractured his left wrist when his hand collided with Giancarlo Stanton while attempting to make a tag. With Aranda on the shelf, Yandy Diaz (forearm) will likely see more reps at first base, which opens the door for Christopher Morel to get more playing time as the designated hitter. Aranda's injury isn't considered season-ending, and he will go for imaging in three weeks, per Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun.

Jared Triolo 3B | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: Officially promoted
The Pirates recalled Triolo from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.
Triolo is expected to take over as the primary third baseman in Pittsburgh now that Ke'Bryan Hayes is on the Reds. Triolo has slashed just .158/.253/.266 with 10 RBI and 12 runs scored through 160 plate appearances this season, but his glove should be enough to keep him in the lineup most days.

Tristin English 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tristin English: Demoted to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned English to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
The 28-year-old received a brief look as Arizona's starting first baseman after Josh Naylor was traded, but Tyler Locklear will now take over the job after being acquired Thursday in the Eugenio Suarez deal. English has gone 2-for-22 with a double and an RBI in seven MLB games this season.

Otto Kemp 3B | PHI
Phillies' Otto Kemp: Not in Friday's lineup
Kemp is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.
Kemp started the previous four games and will receive a day off after going 3-for-15 with two homers during that span. Edmundo Sosa will take over at the hot corner Friday for Philadelphia.

Tim Elko 1B | CHW
White Sox's Tim Elko: Kicks off rehab assignment
Elko (knee) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday and has gone 3-for-8 with two home runs, one walk, four RBI and three runs through his first two games.
The White Sox placed Elko on the 10-day injured list July 11 due to a right knee sprain, but he looks to be on the cusp of a return. Aside from moving short-side platoon outfielder Austin Slater, the White Sox didn't deal away any position players at the trade deadline, so Elko may not be in store for an everyday role at first base or designated hitter once he's activated.
