Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Back in lineup Tuesday
Kirilloff (illness) is back in the lineup Tuesday versus the Rays.

Matt Beaty 1B | KC
Matt Beaty: Elects free agency
Beaty cleared waivers and elected free agency Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
After being designated for assignment by the Giants last week, Beaty went unclaimed on the waivers and will now look to sign elsewhere. The 30-year-old first baseman holds an .853 OPS in Triple-A this season, giving him a solid chance at landing with another team as organizational depth.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Dodgers' Kole Calhoun: Inks minors deal with LAD
Calhoun signed a minor-league contract Tuesday with the Dodgers.
Calhoun is in the lineup at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday night. He exercised the opt-out clause in his minor-league pact with the Yankees last week after failing to earn a call-up despite posting a .919 OPS in 23 games (105 plate appearances) at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Week away from activity
Rockies manager Bud Black said Tuesday that Cron (back) is at least a week away from beginning baseball activities, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Cron has been on the shelf since mid-May due to lingering discomfort in his lower back and there remains no timetable for his return to the active roster. Nolan Jones and Elehuris Montero are currently drawing the majority of starts at first base for Colorado, with a few Mike Moustakas sightings sprinkled into the mix.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Guardians' Josh Bell: Back from paternity leave
Bell was reinstated from the paternity list and will serve as the Guardians' designated hitter Tuesday.
After taking a few days away from the team to spend time with his family, Bell returns to Cleveland's lineup in the middle of a four-game hitting streak. He is slashing .273/.308/.545 with a homer and four RBI over the past week.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
Athletics' Ryan Noda: On base four times Monday
Noda went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a double, two walks and a run in a loss to the Pirates on Monday.
The Athletics took their 50th loss of the season, but not much more could have been asked of Noda, who reached safely for the fifth straight game. The 27-year-old has a .403 on-base percentage for the season across 201 plate appearances and now carries an astronomical 19.4 percent walk rate, albeit alongside a 33.8 percent strikeout rate.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Adds two more hits
Diaz went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Monday's win over the Red Sox.
Diaz has hit safely in four straight contests, going 7-for-19 in that span, following a 2-for-18 slump in his previous four games. While Diaz's power production has slowed down somewhat (one homer in his last 11 games), he's still putting together an All-Star-caliber campaign with a .316/.409/.570 slash line, 12 homers, 40 runs scored and 34 RBI through 225 plate appearances.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Hopes to return when eligible
Bohm (hamstring) told reporters Monday that he believes he can return from the injured list when first eligible Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Bohm landed on the IL in late May with what was described as a mild left hamstring strain but seems to be experiencing improvement. It's not clear whether the 26-year-old might require a short rehab assignment before being activated. Bohm has put up a .724 OPS with six long balls in 53 games this season.

Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Homers again in loss
Pratto went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Monday's 9-6 loss to the Marlins.
Pratto led off the third inning with a solo shot off the left-handed Braxton Garrett, his fourth homer of the year and his second in three games. The 24-year-old Pratto has gone 10-for-27 (.370) with a 1.119 OPS in his last seven games, boosting his slash line to .298/.393/.463 with 15 RBI and 17 runs scored through 140 plate appearances this season.
