Burger is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Burger started the previous 11 contests and will receive a day off after batting .289 (11-for-38) with two doubles and two homers during that span. Joc Pederson will receive a rare start at first base while Brandon Nimmo rests his legs as the designated hitter Tuesday.

Burleson is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Diamondbacks.

With southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez toeing the rubber for Arizona, the left-handed-hitting Burleson will receive a rare day off. Blaze Jordan will move to first base, and Jose Fermin is getting a start at third base for the Cardinals.

Steer is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Brewers.

Steer is in a 4-for-53 slump at the plate, though three of those hits were home runs. He'll get a day to regroup after starting each of the previous seven tilts. Noelvi Marte is in right field for the Reds and Edwin Arroyo will play second base.

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Twins in a 2-1 victory Monday.

Runs were hard to come by in the contest, and Freeman's sixth-inning solo shot proved to provide the winning margin for Los Angeles. The veteran first baseman is batting just .250 over his past eight games, but three of his seven hits over that span have left the park. Freeman posted an .869 OPS with 24 homers, 90 RBI, 81 runs and six stolen bases over 147 regular-season games last year, and he's on pace to just about match those marks in 2026. Though 76 contests this season, the ageless slugger is at an .838 OPS with 13 long balls, 41 RBI, 43 runs and two thefts.

Mead went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

Mead launched a two-run homer off Seth Johnson in the seventh inning that extended Washington's lead. The blast was his 12th home run of the season and came at an opportune time, as he entered Monday deep in a 3-for-24 slump over his previous eight games. Mead is now slashing .227/.333/.464 with 10 doubles, 12 homers, 36 RBI, 34 runs scored and three stolen bases across 225 plate appearances this season.

Grissom is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Grissom will be excluded from the starting nine for the third time in four games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With Jorge Soler (oblique) making an unexpected return from the injured list Monday, the Angels now have one fewer spot in the lineup available, and Grissom looks like he could find himself on the bench more often than not. Grissom could end up settling into the short side of a platoon with either Nolan Schanuel or Donovan Walton, the latter of whom has produced a .927 OPS since getting called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on May 22 to earn himself a steady role.

Gonzalez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Gonzalez will head to the bench while the White Sox go with Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery as their starters in the corner infield Monday. Since being called up from Triple-A Charlotte on May 30, the left-handed-hitting Gonzalez has mostly been spared from matchups with left-handed pitching but has still struggled to a .167/.273/.229 slash line over 55 plate appearances. Gonzalez will likely be headed back to Charlotte once Munetaka Murakami (hamstring) is ready to return from the injured list.

Young is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Young will head to the bench along with fellow left-handed batters MJ Melendez and Brett Baty while the Cubs send southpaw Shota Imanaga to the bump for the series opener. With Young taking a seat, Mark Vientos will pick up a start at first base and will bat fifth.

Mancini elected free agency Monday.

Rather than accepting an outright assignment to the Angels' Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake after he cleared waivers, Mancini will try his luck on the open market. If the 34-year-old is unable to find work with an organization that can present him with a clearer path to the big leagues, Mancini could re-sign with the Angels on a minor-league deal. The Angels dropped Mancini from their 40-man roster last week after he appeared in five games for the big club and went 4-for-13 with four RBI and one run.

High-A Greensboro placed Blanco on its 7-day injured list Sunday due to an unspecified injury.

Blanco may be tending to a lower-body issue, as Anthony Murphy of Baseball America notes that the 21-year-old was lifted for a pinch hitter shortly after legging out a triple in Saturday's game. The first baseman is slashing .237/.319/.500 with 12 home runs and one stolen base over 210 plate appearances with Greensboro on the season.
