  • LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW

Giants' LaMonte Wade: Notches first steal

Wade went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Rays.

Wade was hitless for the first time since April 5, but he was able to make an impact on the basepaths. He's not known for speed with a career high of six steals back in 2021 and no more than two attempts in either of the last two campaigns. The first baseman is hitting .343 with one RBI, five runs scored, three doubles and no home runs over 41 plate appearances this season. Wade continues to see a strong-side platoon role and is unlikely to get many at-bats versus southpaws at all.

  • Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Launches homer Friday

Cronenworth went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in an extra-innings 8-7 win against the Dodgers on Friday.

Cronenworth's lone hit in the contest was a sixth-inning solo blast that brought San Diego within three runs. It was his third homer of the campaign, all of which have come over his past four contests. Cronenworth hit 21 long balls in 2021 but went deep just 10 times over 521 plate appearances last season.

  • Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Resting Saturday

Pasquantino isn't in the Royals' lineup Saturday against the Mets.

Pasquantino will get a day off after tallying seven hits in 12 at-bats alongside eight RBI across his last three games. Salvador Perez will fill the void at first base, allowing Freddy Fermin to start behind the plate and bat seventh.

  • Pete Alonso 1B | BAL

Mets' Pete Alonso: Clubs fourth homer

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-1 win over the Royals.

The first baseman took Will Smith deep in the eighth inning to cap the scoring on the night. Alonso has reeled off three straight two-hit performances, going yard in two of them, but that comes on the heels of an 0-for-18 mini-slump. On the season, Alonso's slashing .241/.305/.481 with four homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored.

  • Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Drives in two Friday

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 8-2 win over the Twins.

Torkelson is now riding a modest three-game hitting streak, and during that time he's posted a .955 OPS and driven in three. The power still hasn't shown up for the 24-year-old, as he has no home runs through 12 contests after going deep 31 times last season. However, Torkelson has shown in the past that he can launch long balls in bunches, so fantasy managers should remain patient.

  • Michael Busch 3B | CHC

Cubs' Michael Busch: Smashes third homer

Busch went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Friday's loss to the Mariners.

Busch went deep for the second straight game, launching a 406-foot solo shot off Ryne Stanek in the ninth inning. The Cubs rookie also collected Chicago's only other extra-base hit earlier in the evening with a double off Bryce Miller. Busch is firmly cemented as the starting first baseman, slashing .293/.375/.585 over his first 48 plate appearances.

  • Reds' Christian Encarnacion-Strand: Drives in three runs

Encarnacion-Strand went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Friday's win over the White Sox.

Encarnacion-Strand brought home a run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning and later added a two-run single in the eighth. The slugging righty has multiple hits in two of his last three games as he continues to search for his groove. He's gone seven straight games without an extra-base knock and currently owns a .454 OPS.

  • Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Back in big leagues

The Red Sox recalled Dalbec from Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Dalbec was optioned down to Triple-A on Monday, but he is back with the Red Sox four days later after the team placed RHP Isaiah Campbell on the 15-day injured list. Dalbec went 1-for-7 with a solo home run and one walk over his two games with Worcester. With Rafael Devers (shoulder) out for Friday's game against the Angels, Dalbec will start at third base and bat fifth in the lineup.

  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

Astros' Jose Abreu: Gets breather Friday

Abreu isn't in the Astros' lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Abreu has managed just one hit in 18 at-bats across his last six games, so he'll sit down for the second time in a row Friday. Jon Singleton will take his place at first base while batting fifth.

  • Jake Bauers RF | MIL

Brewers' Jake Bauers: Steps out of lineup

Bauers is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.

Bauers will hit the bench Friday with right-hander Tyler Wells on the mound for Baltimore. Rhys Hoskins will handle first base while Gary Sanchez receives a start at designated hitter.
