Lewis went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 loss to Seattle.
Lewis crushed a three-run homer to center field as part of a five-run eighth inning for Minnesota. The 27-year-old is riding an eight-game hitting streak, though Sunday's two-hit effort was his first multi-hit game during the stretch. In 78 contests this season, Lewis is slashing .221/.300/.406 with 12 homers, 37 RBI, 38 runs and 10 stolen bases.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Plates three in win
Torkelson went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Athletics.
Torkelson opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning, and he added an RBI single during the Tigers' rally in the eighth. The first baseman has five multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, going 12-for-28 (.429) in that span. For the season, he's batting .220 with a .738 OPS, 20 home runs, 58 RBI, 50 runs scored, 19 doubles and no stolen bases over 111 contests.

Luis Garcia 1B | NYY
Yankees' Luis Garcia: Traded to Yankees
Garcia was traded from the Nationals to the Yankees on Sunday in exchange for Ben Grable, Yovanny Cruz, Jack Cebert and Jake Bird, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Garcia will head to the Bronx after posting a .283/.313/.560 slash with 23 home runs, 76 RBI, 48 runs scored and four stolen bases over 357 at-bats in 104 contests with the Nationals this season. The 26-year-old has started 93 contests at first base and the other nine at designated hitter, but prior to 2026, Garcia operated primarily as a second baseman, and he may be asked to spell Jazz Chisholm at that spot occasionally.

Andres Chaparro 1B | WAS
Nationals' Andres Chaparro: Passes concussion tests
Nationals manager Blake Butera said after Sunday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta that Chaparro (head) passed a concussion test, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.
A late addition to the starting nine after Luis Garcia was scratched, Chaparro grounded out in his first plate appearance of the day, then was struck in the helmet by a pitch in the top of the fourth with the bases loaded. Chaparro was able to take his base and was credited with an RBI, but the Nationals removed him from the contest in the top of the fifth, seemingly as a precaution. Assuming Chaparro doesn't experience any symptoms leading up to Monday's series opener in Philadelphia, he could soon find himself back in the starting nine. Per Zuckerman, Butera said after the game that Garcia didn't play Sunday because "something was really close" on a trade, and the Nationals could finalize a deal prior to Monday's deadline.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Homers in third straight game
Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Nationals.
Olson tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth inning with a 401-foot blast off Cade Cavalli, his 31st homer this season and his third in his last three games. Since the All-Star break, Olson has gone 17-for-65 (.262) with six homers, putting his slash line at .266/.342/.541 with 69 RBI and 78 runs scored across 491 plate appearances this season.

Luis Garcia 1B | NYY
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Trade nearing completion
Manager Blake Butera said after Sunday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta that Garcia was scratched from the lineup after the skipper was informed that a trade was "really close," Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.
Butera noted that nothing is official and didn't mention a trade partner, but Joel Sherman of the New York Post indicates that the Yankees and Nationals are close to reaching a deal. Garcia has already clubbed a career-high 23 home runs this season, and his .873 OPS through 104 games would also be a career-best mark.

Willson Contreras 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Willson Contreras: Back in action Sunday
Contreras (head) will start at first bae and bat cleanup Sunday against the Dodgers, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
The veteran slugger was held out of the lineup for Saturday's 3-2 win after being hit in the head by a pitch Friday, but he's good to go for Sunday's series finale in Los Angeles. Contreras will attempt to carry his hot bat into August after closing July with a .323/.488/.629 slash line in 20 games.

Andres Chaparro 1B | WAS
Nationals' Andres Chaparro: Departs after HBP
Chaparro was removed from Sunday's game against Atlanta after being struck in the head by a pitch, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.
The 27-year-old picked up an RBI the hard way when he was hit in the head by a pitch with the bases loaded during the third inning, and he was eventually pulled after initially staying in the game. Chaparro is presumably being evaluated for a concussion and should be considered day-to-day.

Nick Kurtz 1B | ATH
Athletics' Nick Kurtz: Visiting hand specialist
Kurtz, who is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers, is scheduled to visit a hand specialist Monday in Los Angeles, after which the Athletics are expected to decide whether he'll need to go on the injured list, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
After being hit by a pitch Wednesday, the 23-year-old was back in the lineup for the next two games but now finds himself on the bench Sunday for a second straight contest. Kurtz underwent an MRI and X-rays before initially rejoining the starting nine Thursday, with manager Mark Kotsay saying that the X-ray results were "kind of unclear." The fact Kurtz was cleared to play indicated it was a minor injury, but he apparently has some lingering issues that warrant further evaluation.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Hitting bench Sunday
Goldschmidt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
The Yankees will give the 38-year-old a breather for the matinee contest after he started 10 straight games while going 7-for-40 (.175) with one home run, two RBI and three runs. Ben Rice will draw the start at first base Sunday, while Amed Rosario slots into the designated hitter spot.
