Wade was diagnosed with concussion-like symptoms after colliding with a teammate in an Arizona Fall League game, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The game was delayed several minutes while Wade, 23, lay on the outfield grass. He was eventually removed from the game on a stretcher, but he gave the thumbs-up sign and appears to have escaped any serious physical injury.

The Indians gave Santana a qualifying offer prior to Monday's deadline, the Los Angeles Times reports.

This year's qualifying offer is worth $17.4 million, and it's not completely unreasonable to think that Santana may be tempted to sign it, as he may be unable to secure a higher average annual value from a multi-year deal via free agency if he turns it down. While he failed to reach his career-high 34 homers from 2016, Santana delivered another steady line at the plate, hitting .259/.363/.455 with 23 long balls, 79 RBI and 90 runs scored as an everyday contributor in a strong Cleveland lineup.

Dickson (shoulder) was cut by the Dodgers on Monday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Dickson spent most of his time with Triple-A Oklahoma City last season, hitting .246/.328/.484 with 24 homers in 116 games. He saw time with the big club as a September callup, but failed to impress in his little playing time (1-for-7) before injuring his shoulder. He'll likely need to prove his shoulder is fully healthy before he's able to find a deal for next season.

The Mets exercised their $8.5 million club option to keep Cabrera on the team in 2018, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.

Cabrera is expected to hold a starting spot in the infield for the Mets next season, after hitting .280 with a .785 OPS during 135 games this past year. He also smacked 14 home runs and had 59 RBI, while cutting down on his strikeouts to achieve his lowest rate since the 2010 season.

Gurriel is batting fifth and playing first base for Game 4 of the World Series on Saturday.

With his impending suspension deferred to 2018, Gurriel will stick in his usual spot in the order against the Dodgers for Game 4. Gurriel is 3-for-9 with a home run and an RBi in the last two games and will face lefty Alex Wood on Saturday.

Gurriel will not be suspended during this year's World Series after making a racially inappropriate gesture toward the Dodgers' Yu Darvish during Friday's game, but will serve a five-game suspension in 2018, Liz Habib of FOX Sports LA reports.

The league will delay discipline on Gurriel until next season after he made an inappropriate gesture during the Game 3 win over the Dodgers. He'll miss five games in 2018 as a result, but Gurriel will be available for the remainder of the World Series.

Shaw is currently on the shelf with a shoulder injury at the Arizona Fall League, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Shaw has played in five games during the AFL thus far, going 3-for-19 at the plate with three walks. Although he's dealing with a minor shoulder ailment, this shouldn't have an effect on his status for the upcoming season, barring any significant setback.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run Wednesday in the Diamondbacks' 11-8 win over the Rockies in the National League wild-card game.

Goldschmidt vaulted the Diamondbacks to an early lead with a long ball in his first at-bat of the game in the bottom of the first inning, giving him just his third home run in the team's last 19 games. The first baseman closed September with a whimper, but the Diamondbacks will need the MVP candidate to be at his best beginning Friday, when his team will face Cy Young contender Clayton Kershaw as it kicks off its divisional series with the Dodgers.

Bell will start Sunday against Washington, even though the Nationals are starting southpaw Gio Gonzalez.

The Pirates have held Bell back against some left-handed pitching -- he's slashing .232/.292/.448 in 137 plate appearances against those hurlers -- but he needs just one homer to break the franchise rookie record of 26. After a September slump, Bell has six hits (including two home runs) in his last 18 at-bats.

Cabrera is not in the lineup Sunday against the Phillies.

Cabrera will make his way to the bench a day after slugging the game-winning home run in extra innings. Phillip Evans will take over at third base and bat second in his stead.
