Bell went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and four RBI in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Padres.

It's the third time in May that Bell has gone yard twice in a game. The 26-year-old now has a .333/.402/.704 slash line on the year with 14 homers and a big-league-leading 43 RBI through 43 games.

Cron went 3-for-6 with a pair of solo home runs and a two-run double in an 18-4 win over the Mariners on Saturday.

Cron hit homers off starter Wade LeBlanc in the second and third innings and then provided the rest of his offense in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 14-0 at the time. He started as the designated hitter with Nelson Cruz (wrist) out of action. Cron has gone 9-for-17 with three homers, six RBI and seven runs scored in his last four games, boosting his average from .237 to .270 during the run.

Freeman went 2-for-5 with a walkoff solo home run in a 4-3 extra-inning victory against the Brewers on Saturday.

Freeman led off the 10th inning with his third home run in as many games, this one giving the Braves the win. Freeman is hitting .338 (22-for-65) with five home runs in May. Overall, he's slashing .314/.406/.566 with 10 homers, 28 RBI and 33 runs in 202 plate appearances.

Olson is not in the lineup Saturday against the Tigers.

Olson sits for the first time since returning from the injured list May 7. He'll head to the bench in favor of Mark Canha with lefty Matthew Boyd on the hill for the Tigers, but it doesn't appear as though he's destined for a platoon role, as he started twice against lefties earlier in the week.

Rizzo (back) went 1-for-5 with a run scored in Friday's 14-6 win over the Nationals.

Rizzo had missed the previous four games with a tight back, so it was nice to see him get back into action. He occupied the No. 3 spot in the lineup Friday night and should remain a key cog in the Cubs' attack moving forward.

France went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Pirates.

France's blast came in the ninth inning, helping the Padres to recover half of their four-run deficit at the time, but it would be all the offense they could muster. France is hitting .208 with two homers and eight RBI in 19 games. The rookie infielder will need to improve at the dish if he is to remain in the majors when Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) returns, which is not expected to be before May 22.

Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 10-2 win over the White Sox.

His fourth-inning blast to center field off Ivan Nova seemed like it was going to come up a little short, but Leury Garcia knocked it over the fence trying to catch it. Guerrero's numbers remain disappointing given the hype surrounding the 20-year-old, but his .210/.310/.387 slash line through 17 games comes with three homers, eight RBI and a strong 9:13 BB:K that belies his age. It seems only a matter of time before the rookie goes on a hot streak, and Friday's good fortune might have been just what he needed to jump-start one.

Voit went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run Friday night against the Rays.

The 28-year-old cut Tampa Bay's deficit to one in the ninth inning with a solo homer to right center before Gio Urshela won the ballgame on a single to center. Voit had been struggling at the dish entering the night (he was hitless over his last six games), so a three-hit performance could be just what he needs to turn things around. He's slashing .255/.372/.503 with 11 homers and 33 RBI through 42 contests in 2019.

Alonso went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in Friday's 8-6 loss to the Marlins.

The rookie slugger took Trevor Richards deep in the second inning and touched up Nick Anderson in the eighth, giving Alonso 14 homers on the year to go along with his .266/.346/.595 slash line. He now sits third in the NL in home runs, behind only Christian Yelich (18) and Cody Bellinger (16), and Alonso's 34 RBI puts him in seventh.

Beaty will start at first base Saturday against the Reds, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Beaty was recently recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City, and with Justin Turner sustaining a shin injury Friday night, Beaty will receive an opportunity to make his first major-league start. Max Muncy will move to third base while Turner is out of the mix.
