Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.

While his fellow second-generation players Lourdes Gurriel and Cavan Biggio both went yard in a 10-1 rout, Guerrero was doing some damage of his own at the plate, snapping an 0-for-12 skid. The 20-year-old has had a bit of a bumpy introduction to the majors, but Guerrero is still slashing .315/.383/.630 over his last 14 games with five homers, 10 RBI, 10 runs and a 6:8 BB:K.

Smith got the start at first base and hit second in Sunday's win over the Tigers, going 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored.

Playing time has been hard to come by for Smith this season thanks to Pete Alonso's emergence -- Sunday's start was his first since May 16. Despite the erratic workload, the 23-year-old has performed when called upon, slashing .340/.456/.489 in 57 plate appearances with a homer, six RBI and 13 runs. With the Mets reluctant so far to repeat last year's experiment of using him in an outfield corner, though, Smith's path to a more consistent role would require an injury to Alonso, or a trade.

Walker started at first base and went 0-for-3 in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Walker was given a one-day break Saturday when recent callup Kevin Cron got the start. Manager Torey Lovullo said he went with Walker on Sunday because he's "still our first baseman," Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports. That may be the case, but the fact remains Walker is 8-for-61 (.131) with two RBI over the last 17 games. That's as many RBI as Cron had in his one start Saturday.

Mountcastle wasn't included in Triple-A Norfolk's lineup for their game Sunday against Gwinnett due to a finger issue, Steve Melewski of MASN Sports reports.

The injury kept Mountcastle out of action for a second straight day, but it's not believed to be a major concern at this juncture. With an .879 OPS and a manageable 20.7 percent strikeout rate this season at Norfolk, the 22-year-old has looked major-league ready at the dish, but the Orioles may want him to prove he can capably handle the corner outfield before he gets a callup.

Beaty went 2-for-6 with four RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Pirates.

Beaty plated a pair of runs in the fifth inning on a single to right field. He would strike again in the sixth and seventh innings, driving in two more before all was said and done. The 26-year-old is 6-for-25 with five RBI in 10 games this season with the big club.

Beaty will start at first base and bat fifth Sunday against the Pirates, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Beaty will stick in the lineup for a fifth straight game, but his run of steady at-bats probably won't last much longer if he continues to make little impact at the dish. He's reached base just four times in 19 plate appearances this season.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-3 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Braves on Saturday.

Golschmidt is enjoying a much more productive May than his lackluster April, as he's hitting a rock-solid .284 in the current month. The veteran has reached safely in six straight as well, and he's now compiled an impressive seven multi-hit efforts since the calendar flipped.

Tellez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

The Blue Jays wanted to keep budding star Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s bat in the lineup while giving him some time out of the field, so he'll slot in as the designated hitter in the series finale. That leaves no room in the lineup for Tellez, who will hit the bench after starting each of the past five days and going 5-for-20 with three home runs over that span.

Hiura is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Phillies.

Hiura has started all 10 games at second base since being called up May 14 and is slashing .256/.310/.410 with two homers in 39 at-bats. The 22-year-old has had his fair share of struggles with a 40.5 percent strikeout rate, but overall it's been a solid first showing in the majors. Hernan Perez will start at second base and bat sixth in his absence.

Cooper is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Cooper started all 11 games since being activated off the injured list May 11, and is slashing .233/.313/.372 with two home runs in that stretch. Curtis Granderson, Harold Ramirez and Austin Dean represent the starting outfield from right to left for the Marlins on Sunday.
