Hiura is not starting Tuesday against the Reds.

Hiura hits the bench for the first time all season after going 2-for-16 with 10 strikeouts in his last five games. It's been a frustrating sophomore campaign for him overall, as he's hit just .215/.308/.436 after breaking into the league with a .303/.368/.570 line last year. Jace Peterson will get the nod at second base in his absence.

France went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run in a win over the Astros on Monday.

The trade-deadline acquisition from the Padres has been a hit in his new Seattle digs, with Monday's production marking his fifth multi-hit effort since he arrived, and his second in the last three games. France has yet to go more than two consecutive games without a hit since his first game in a Mariners uniform Sept. 4, and he's slashing an impressive .297/.357/.469 in the 70 plate appearances he's logged since the trade.

Gurriel acknowledged still feeling pain relating to a hand injury he suffered while sliding into second base Sept. 12, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. He went 0-for-4 in Monday's loss to the Mariners.

Gurriel wears wrap around the hand which he says contributes to problems gripping the bat. Even before the injury, his production dropped off during September. For the month, he's 11-for-68 with a .169 on-base percentage over 71 plate appearances. His OPS has dropped 164 points since the end of August.

White went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Monday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

White hit his seventh homer of the year off Astros starter Lance McCullers in the seventh inning. That blast gave the Mariners some extra breathing room in what had been a low-scoring battle to that point. The first baseman has produced 24 RBI, 17 runs scored and a stolen base in 48 games this year.

Guerrero went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, a walk and three RBI in Monday's 11-5 win over the Yankees

Guerrero belted a two-run double in the bottom of the third and added another run-scoring two-base hit an inning later. The third-baseman also had a triple, giving him seven total bases in the tilt. The 21-year-old has 28 RBI to go along with a .249/.324/.434 slash line on the campaign.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a walk Monday against the Phillies.

Cabrera stayed hot at the dish Monday night, plating a run in the first inning on a single to center. He's now hit safely in eight of his last 10 contests, racking up three homers and eight RBI over that stretch.

Lowe went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs scored in Monday's 2-1 win over the Mets.

Lowe scored in the second inning on a Manuel Margot sacrifice fly before taking Jacob deGrom deep with a solo blast in the fourth. The lefty slugger bumped his season OPS up to .913 with four homers this season.

Naylor left Monday's game against the White Sox after jamming his leg into second base on a slide, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Naylor was having an impressive night at the dish prior to suffering the injury, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored. He was replaced by Oscar Mercado in left field and will be considered day-to-day until he's examined further.

Diaz (hamstring) felt good following a pair of batting practice sessions in the last two days and will advance to live batting practice soon, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Diaz has missed all of September with a strained right hamstring. Whether or not he returns before the playoffs remains to be seen, but it appears as though he has a chance to do so.

Flores isn't in Monday's lineup against the Rockies.

Flores has gone 0-for-12 with five strikeouts over the past three games, and he'll take a breather Monday. Darin Ruf will start as the designated hitter for the series opener against Colorado.
