Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 9-6 win against Boston on Friday.

Goldschmidt's long ball was a 346-foot shot to right field in the sixth inning. It was his first home run (and just his second hit) so far this month; the veteran slugger has gone 2-for-18 with seven strikeouts and a stolen base through five June games. Goldschmidt is still slashing a productive .320/.376/.478 on the campaign, and he's added seven homers, 29 RBI, 40 runs and five thefts across 62 contests.

Aranda went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored Friday against the Marlins.

Aranda has been hitting well over the last two weeks, with Friday's effort marking his sixth multi-hit performance in 12 games. He has only four extra-base hits in that span, but he has still managed 12 runs scored with 10 RBI. For the season, Aranda has maintained an excellent .324 batting average yet he still rarely starts against left-handed pitchers.

Olson went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, two walks and a second run scored in Friday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Olson's seventh-inning blast tied the game at 4-4 and ultimately was enough to force an extra frame. The first baseman hadn't gone deep since May 24 after a stretch of five homers in seven games. For the season, Olson is at a .239/.344/.465 slash line with 13 homers, 34 RBI, 37 runs scored and 13 doubles across 62 contests.

Alonso went 1-for-3 with two walks, one run scored and a two-run double in Friday's 4-2 win over the Rockies.

Alonso put the Mets on the board in the seventh inning with a two-run double to left field and came home to score in the ninth on a Francisco Lindor (toe) double. Alonso has reached base safely in 15 straight games, and over that span he has slashed .310/.388/.690 with nine runs, four doubles, six home runs and 20 RBI across 67 plate appearances.

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 win over the Cubs.

Torkelson singled in the second inning and later launched what proved to be the game-winning solo homer in the sixth. It was a much-needed boost for the first baseman, who came into the weekend mired in a 1-for-18 slump over his previous five games. On the season, he's slashing .232/.341/.500 with 15 home runs, 43 RBI, 37 runs scored and one stolen base across 261 plate appearances.

Rodriguez was removed from Friday's game against the Phillies due to right elbow discomfort, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Rodriguez seemingly tweaked his elbow after throwing a ball to second base while warming up for the second inning. The severity of his injury remains unknown, but the Pirates will take a look at him and should provide some details in the near future.

Mountcastle was diagnosed with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain Friday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Mountcastle's hamstring sent him to the 10-day injured list Saturday, but now that the severity of his injury has been revealed, he's expected to miss between 8-12 weeks. Even in a best-case scenario, the 28-year-old's absence will extend into August, but he still has a decent chance to make it back before the end of the regular season. Coby Mayo and Ryan O'Hearn have been splitting first-base duties since Mountcastle landed on the IL, and the pair will presumably continue to share starts going forward.

Kurtz (hip) will embark on a rehab assignment Saturday with Single-A Stockton, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Kurtz was placed on the 10-day injured list May 25 due to a strained left hip flexor. He's expected to be activated off the IL ahead of Monday's game against the Angels, but he'll test his hip in Single-A before returning to the majors. Kurtz went 7-for-17 with four home runs and nine RBI in the five games prior to his injury.

Hoskins is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Hoskins will get the night off Friday after making six consecutive starts for the Brewers. In his stead, Jake Bauers will play first base and bat seventh.

Arraez (knee) will serve as the designated hitter and bat second against Milwaukee on Friday.

Padres manager Mike Shildt told reporters Thursday that Arraez is working through posterior knee soreness. The 28-year-old is considered day-to-day, but he could see more work as the Padres' DH while Gavin Sheets shifts to first base. Arraez has gone 10-for-35 with five RBI over his last nine games.
