Calhoun is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with Atlanta.

With southpaw Drew Smyly twirling for Atlanta, the lefty-hitting Calhoun with take a seat after playing all seven innings in the Diamondbacks' 5-0 win in Game 1. He was one of Arizona's standout performers in the victory, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run.

Vaughn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

He'll be taking a seat after starting each of the last three games in left field while recording four hits -- all singles -- across 10 at-bats. Leury Garcia will fill in for Vaughn, who has yet to hit his first MLB home run but is reaching base at a .356 clip this season.

Cronenworth went 0-for-2 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

Cronenworth walked and crossed the plate on a wild pitch in the seventh inning, bringing the Padres within a run. He was then hit by a pitch in the eighth and got to second base on a double steal with Wil Myers, though both runners were left stranded. The second-year utility player has swiped two bags this season and is tied for the team lead with 12 runs scored.

Hiura went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in Saturday's victory over the Cubs.

Hiura had not recorded multiple hits in a game since April 10 and had not recorded three hits in a game since Aug. 19, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but he was able to snap both skids in Saturday's contest. While it has been a rough go of it at the plate for Hiura, the Brewers are giving him ample opportunities to get going, as he started all but three of the club's first 20 games this season.

Tellez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

The Rays will have a southpaw (Josh Fleming) serving as their primary pitcher for the day, so the lefty-hitting Tellez will bow out of the starting nine. Bo Bichette will get a day out of the field and serve as Toronto's designated hitter in place of Tellez.

Smith is not in Sunday's lineup against the Nationals.

Patrick Corbin will take the mound for the Nationals, which will bump Smith from the lineup. Brandon Nimmo will take over in left field and hit leadoff, while Albert Almora will enter the lineup as the center fielder and bat eighth.

Cabrera is not in the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against Atlanta.

Cabrera has collected a hit in four of his last five starts but will find the bench with two games on tap for the team Sunday. Eduardo Escobar will shift to second third base with Josh VanMeter taking over duties at the keystone and hitting fifth.

O'Hearn will serve as the Royals' designated hitter and bat fifth Sunday against the Tigers, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

O'Hearn will be rewarded with a second start against a right-handed pitcher (Michael Fulmer) after he went yard and drew a pair of walks in his season debut Friday. The Royals will likely keep O'Hearn on the bench against left-handed pitching, but so long as he can remain productive against right-handed pitching, the 27-year-old may be able to hold down the strong side of a platoon at designated hitter.

Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI in Saturday's 16-2 win over the Angels.

Gurriel is on an RBI spree of late, registering at least one In four straight contests and delivering eight runs during that stretch. Prior to that, he had knocked in just five over his first 16 games. Houston's been up and then down to start the season, but Gurriel has remained healthy and consistent. The 37-year-old corner infielder is slashing .338/.460/.535 through 20 games.

Vaughn started in left field and went 1-for-2 in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.

Vaughn was replaced defensively in the seventh inning by Billy Hamilton, which could be the practice when the White Sox are involved in a close game. The move paid immediate dividends in the seventh when Hamilton's 95 mph throw cut down Willie Calhoun at the plate to preserve a 1-0 lead. Being subbed out cost Vaughn two plate appearances.
