C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Sitting Thursday
Cron is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.
Cron started seven straight games after returning from a lower-back strain, hitting a modest .250/.333/.333 over that stretch. He'll get a rest following three straight hitless games, with Josh Fuentes shifting over to first base.

Dominic Smith DH | ATL
Mets' Dominic Smith: Sits for first half of doubleheader
Smith (knee) is not in the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Rockies.
Smith hurt himself on a slide Tuesday. He was expected to be available off the bench Wednesday, but that game got postponed. He'll remain available in that capacity for Thursday's first game, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports, with the Mets still not sure whether or not he'll be in the lineup for the second contest.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Not starting Thursday
Rizzo (back) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.
Rizzo will miss his second straight game while he contends with a stiff back. Kris Bryant will fill in at first base in place of Rizzo.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Plates two runs
Olson went 1-for-3 with a home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.
Olson socked his 13th long ball of the season with a solo shot in the third inning, and he later added another RBI in the bottom of the fourth with a sac fly that scored Elvis Andrus. The first baseman has been seeing the ball well of late and has hit safely in all but two of his last 11 contests, hitting .300 with a 1.133 OPS, five homers and a 6:5 BB:K across 46 plate appearances in that span.

Nate Lowe 1B | CLE
Rangers' Nate Lowe: Homers, extends hit streak
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 9-8 loss to the Angels.
Lowe's two-run blast, his first homer in 17 games, was part of a five-run uprising in the eighth inning. Earlier, a single extended his hitting streak to five games (8-for-21). His .265/.364/.739 line indicates a competent hitter, although it remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will develop the kind of power associated with a corner infielder at the major-league level.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Could return Saturday
Manager Gabe Kapler said it's "reasonable" to expect Flores (hamstring) to be activated from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
The 29-year-old landed on the shelf with a strained right hamstring May 19, and he's expected to rejoin the active roster when first eligible Saturday. Flores could have an increased role at first base once activated with Brandon Belt (oblique) placed on the injured list Wednesday.

Dominic Smith DH | ATL
Mets' Dominic Smith: Dealing with knee issue
Smith suffered a knee injury on a slide Tuesday but was expected to be available off the bench before Wednesday's game was postponed, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
The 25-year-old never exited the contest, but he apparently suffered the injury during the sixth inning on Tomas Nido's home run, which was originally ruled a double. Smith should be considered day-to-day, and it's unclear if he'll be available to start in Thursday's doubleheader.
-
Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Scratched from Wednesday's lineup
Cooper was removed from Wednesday's lineup with right olbique tightness, Andre Fernandez of Sirius XM Radio reports.
Cooper will miss the contest while in the midst of a 16-for-36 stretch that includes three homers and 10 RBI and has encompassed his last 10 games. Adam Duvall will fill in for Cooper in right field Wednesday.
-
Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Giants' Donovan Solano: Not starting Wednesday
Solano is on the bench for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The 33-year-old receives the day off following an 0-for-4 performance Tuesday, which extended his recent slump to 3-for-25 in the last eight games. Mauricio Dubon fills in at second base Wednesday.
-
Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Yankees' Luke Voit: Placed on injured list
Voit was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a Grade 2 oblique strain, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The news comes shortly after Voit was omitted from the lineup for Wednesday's since-postponed game against the Blue Jays. The Yankees will look to Mike Ford and DJ LeMahieu to fill in at first base while Voit recovers from the oblique strain.
