Votto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Thursday's loss to the Brewers.

Votto got the Reds on the board by taking Freddy Peralta deep in the second inning. It was the sixth long ball of the year for the 37-year-old, who collected a pair of walks in his return from a month-long stint on the injured list Wednesday after dealing with a thumb injury. Despite a slow start to the season, Votto was heating up before the injury and will look to continue that success now that he's healthy.

Tellez is not in the lineup Thursday against the White Sox.

Tellez will take a seat for the second time in the past three games with southpaw Dallas Keuchel starting for Chicago. Bo Bichette will serve as the designated hitter while Marcus Semien plays shortstop.

Flores isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Flores had started each of the last three games but went 0-for-12 with two walks and two strikeouts during that time. Jason Vosler will start at the hot corner and bat eighth.

Cron isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Cron has gone 1-for-16 with a double, a walk and seven strikeouts in his last five appearances, and he'll be out of the lineup Thursday for the second time in the last three games. Joshua Fuentes will shift to first base and bat seventh.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-2 win over Cleveland.

Goldschmidt had his first combo meal of the season Wednesday, with a home run off Trevor Stephan in the seventh inning and a stolen base in the fifth inning. The 33-year-old is slashing .251/.320/.416 with eight homers, 30 RBI, 34 runs and four steals in 256 plate appearances.

Pratto has a .320/.466/.710 slash line across 131 plate appearances with Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

The first-round pick from 2017 struggled at High-A Wilmington in 2019 with a .191/.278/.310 slash line, nine homers, 46 RBI, 48 runs scored and 17 stolen bases in 124 games. Pratto has turned it around in 2021 with 10 homers, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and five steals in just 29 Double-A games. The strong hitting could eventually lead to a promotion to Triple-A Omaha, although that should not be considered imminent.

White (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The Mariners were hopeful that White would be able to begin a rehab assignment when the team returned from its current road trip, but he'll be able to join the Triple-A club a few days ahead of schedule. The 25-year-old has been on the injured list for nearly a month, so he could require several rehab games before he's cleared to rejoin the Mariners.

Bohm will sit Thursday against Atlanta.

Bohm has stumbled significantly in his sophomore season after a strong rookie campaign, as he's hitting just .216/.260/.305 with four homers in 59 games. The Phillies are letting him work through those struggles on the field, however, as he sits Thursday for just the fifth time all season. Luke Williams starts at third base in his absence.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three total RBI and three total runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Orioles.

Alonso launched his 10th homer of the season during the first inning, and his two-run blast off former Mets ace Matt Harvey set the tone for the rest of the game for New York. The slugging first baseman also extended his hitting streak to five games and has recorded back-to-back multi-hit games for the first time in 2021. He's hitting .265 with 10 home runs, 31 RBI and an. 850 OPS on the season.

The Marlins placed Cooper on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a lumbar strain, David Wilson of the Miami Herald reports.

Miami will bring up Lewin Diaz from Triple-A Jacksonville to fill Cooper's role as a reserve first baseman behind Jesus Aguilar. Cooper had been battling back stiffness heading into the weekend before joining the lineup Monday in Boston, so he may have suffered a related setback in that contest. He'll be eligible to return from the IL on June 18.
