Wade left Monday's exhibition due to left knee discomfort, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

It was initially reported that Wade left due to a lower-body injury, and this latest update gives fantasy managers more clarity on the situation. He appears to have avoided a significant injury, though skipper Gabe Kapler noted that Wade will be re-evaluated in the near future. He'll be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Wade was removed from Monday's Cactus League game against the Brewers with an apparent lower-body injury, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Wade appeared to tweak something while he was running to second base on his first-inning double. Though he was able to stay in the game for the rest of the Giants' turn at bat, Wade looked to be limping as he went back to the dugout and then didn't play the field for the bottom of the first inning. The Giants will likely provide an update on the nature and extent of his injury after the game.

The Guardians optioned Arias to Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

After being acquired from the Padres in August 2020, Arias made his debut for his new organization in 2021, spending the entire season with Columbus. Over his 483 plate appearances, Arias produced a respectable .802 OPS, but the Guardians will send him back to Columbus to begin 2022 for further refinement. Assuming his performance doesn't dramatically regress from a season ago, the 22-year-old should get the chance to make his big-league debut later in the campaign for a rebuilding Cleveland club that could be in evaluation mode in the second half.

The White Sox announced Monday that Vaughn is dealing with a right hip pointer and is expected to return to game action in one or two weeks.

Vaughn had to be carted off the field after making a diving catch in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Dodgers, but he seems to have escaped with nothing worse than a bruise. A trip to the injured list is still possible, as Opening Day falls right in the middle of his given timeline. Even if he progresses quickly and hits the early end of that range, it's possible the White Sox choose to give him some rehab games to finish his spring preparation. Regardless, Vaughn shouldn't need much time before joining the big-league lineup, assuming he experiences no further setbacks in his recovery from the injury.

Beaty was traded from the Dodgers to the Padres on Monday in exchange for River Ryan.

Trades between division rivals are rare, but the Dodgers likely don't see Beaty as particularly useful given that they designated him for assignment last week. The Padres have a hole in left field, however, so it's not hard to see Beaty playing a significant role this season, potentially in a platoon with Jurickson Profar. Beaty is coming off a season in which he hit .270/.363/.402 with seven homers in 234 trips to the plate, so he should be able to have at least deep-league relevance if he carves out regular playing time.

Cron cleared the league's concussion protocol after exiting Sunday's Cactus League game against Arizona, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Cron appeared to get hit in the head by a pitch during Sunday's matchup, but the pitch apparently hit him in the shoulder before ricocheting into his helmet. He was removed from the game after walking to first base, but it appears as though his exit was precautionary. The 32-year-old will be able to recover Monday since the Rockies have a scheduled day off, and he should be considered day-to-day.

Cron was removed from Sunday's Cactus League game against the Diamondbacks in the top of the fifth inning after being hit in the head by a pitch, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Cron went down hard after being hit by a pitch, but he got up shortly after and was able to walk to first base. However, manager Bud Black opted to remove the 32-year-old from the game. It's not yet clear whether he'll be forced to miss additional time, but Connor Joe will likely step in at first base if Cron is sidelined.
