  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Back on minor-league IL

Kirilloff was placed on the 7-day injured list Monday with an undisclosed injury, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

It remains to be seen how long the injury will keep Kirilloff sidelined at this point. Prior to landing on the shelf for the second time this season (he missed a month to open the year due to a minor wrist issue), the well-regarded prospect was hitting .268/.359/.402 with two homers and three stolen bases in 29 games for Double-A Pensacola.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Enjoys three-homer day at Triple-A

Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with three home runs and five RBI for Triple-A Norfolk in its 11-5 win over Louisville on Sunday.

Since returning to the Norfolk lineup Friday, Mountcastle has shown no ill effects of the left wrist injury that sidelined him for a week. In his first three games back, Mountcastle has gone yard four times, propping up his season batting line to a robust .328/.351/.578 in 46 contests. The Orioles want the 22-year-old to show more polish at third base and potentially take some reps in the outfield before promoting him, but Mountcastle should make his big-league debut at some point this summer.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Pair of walks in return

Diaz (hand) went 0-for-3 with two walks in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.

Diaz was making his return from an injured-list stint and was able to reach safely twice. The infielder is in the midst of a modest funk that predates his injury, as he's now 2-for-19 in the last five games in which he's registered any official at-bats.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Yankees' Luke Voit: Swats 15th home run

Voit went 1-for-3 with a home run, walk and another run scored in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Voit got the Yankees on the board by hitting their only home run of the night with a solo shot off David Price in the fourth inning. The 28-year-old has been a tremendous source of power for New York this season, slashing .268/.379/.521 with 15 home runs, 40 runs scored and 39 RBI through 57 games.

  • C.J. Cron 1B | BOS

Twins' C.J. Cron: Drives in three

Cron went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI on Sunday against the Rays.

Cron delivered a bases-clearing double in the fifth inning to account for all three of his RBI in the contest. While he hasn't homered since May 23, he has at least one extra-base hit in five of his last nine games. The 29-year-old has built on his breakout 2018 campaign, hitting .275/.340/.534 across 215 plate appearances.

  • Yuli Gurriel DH | SD

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Collects two RBI

Gurriel went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI during Sunday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Gurriel book-ended the scoring for Houston, getting things started with an RBI double in the first inning before plating one of the decisive runs with a single in the 12th. This was a nice bounce-back effort for Gurriel, who had just three hits in 16 at-bats over his previous four games. He will look to carry this momentum into the next series at Seattle.

  • Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE

Angels' Kole Calhoun: Sitting versus lefty

Calhoun is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Calhoun will bow out against a lefty (Marco Gonzales), allowing the hot-hitting Cesar Puello to pick up his fourth start in five games. The Angels will oppose another southpaw (Jon Lester) on Monday, so Calhoun could find himself on the bench again for that contest.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Out again Sunday

Tellez (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Tellez's hamstring injury coupled with the lack of a designated-hitter spot being available in Colorado will relegate him to the bench for a second straight game. The Blue Jays are viewing Tellez as day-to-day and remain hopeful that he'll be good to go for the team's upcoming homestand coming out of Monday's off day.

  • Tigers' Brandon Dixon: Keeps hitting Saturday

Dixon went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Braves.

Dixon has taken his opportunity with the Tigers and run with it, as he's now slashing a robust .321/.345/.593 across 81 at-bats and has started the past six games. However, his 38.1 percent strikeout rate and .477 BABIP suggest that some regression could be in order for the 27-year-old, who slashed just .178/.218/.356 in 118 at-bats last season.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Batting second in lineup return

Diaz (hand) will bat second and serve as the Rays' designated hitter Sunday against the Twins, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

As expected, the Rays will waste no time ushering Diaz back into the lineup after he was reinstated from the 10-day injured list earlier in the day. While he'll likely see most of his starts at the corner-infield spots moving forward, Diaz will be eased in as the DH with the team's normal option, Avisail Garcia, considered day-to-day with a tight hamstring. Prior to getting hurt, Diaz batted .256 with nine home runs and 22 RBI in 180 plate appearances.
