Naylor is expected to be Cleveland's primary left fielder for the remainder of the season, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

Naylor couldn't carve out regular at-bats in a crowded outfield in San Diego, but he's apparently viewed as one of the best options in a similarly crowded group for his new team. He hasn't shown much at the plate thus far in his big-league career, hitting just .253/.315/.405 in 317 plate appearances over the last two seasons, but scouts have long believed he'll have the ability to hit for both power and average. He's actually hit better against lefties than righties thus far, though his .314/.340/.431 line against southpaws comes in a tiny sample of just 53 plate appearances.

Tellez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

With lefty Keegan Akin on the bump for Baltimore, the lefty-hitting Tellez will head to the bench after starting in the past four games. The newly acquired Daniel Vogelbach will make his first start for the Blue Jays, replacing Tellez as the team's designated hitter.

Naylor was shipped from San Diego to Cleveland on Monday as part of a six-player package for Mike Clevinger, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Naylor moves from one team with an outfield logjam to another, though he at least joins an organization that's guaranteed to have a designated hitter spot (Naylor's likely future home) available beyond this season. Just what sort of a role Naylor is able to carve out in Cleveland remains to be seen, as he's yet to make good on his potential at the plate, hitting a modest .253/.315/.405 in 317 career plate appearances. He has the potential to hit for both power and average eventually, and he's still just 23 years old, so there's certainly a chance he develops into a useful piece for his new team.

Arias was traded from San Diego to Cleveland on Monday along with Josh Naylor, Cal Quantrill and others in exchange for Mike Clevinger, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Arias, a strong defensive shortstop with plus raw power, was one of the Padres' 10 best prospects. He logged a 120 wRC+ as the second-youngest player in the California League last year despite walking at just a 4.9 percent clip. Arias also finished the 2019 season strong, cutting his strikeout rate to 20.6 percent from July 1 on. He joins a loaded Cleveland farm system and could factor into the shortstop depth chart in 2022.

France was traded from the Padres to the Mariners on Sunday in exchange for Austin Nola and several other players, Jim Bowden of The Athletic reports.

France has carved out a fair amount of playing time with the Padres this season due to his defensive versatility, and he could carve out playing time in Seattle as well. Nola previously served as the Mariners' versatile infield option, but France could fill that role going forward. The 26-year-old is hitting .314 with six extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts this season.

Dalbec made his major-league debut in Sunday's 9-5 win over the Nationals, going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a single.

After striking out in his first big-league plate appearance, Dalbec wrapped a homer around the Pesky Pole for his first career hit in the third inning. He added a single later in the game. The 25-year-old is expected to handle the bulk of the first-base duties going forward with Mitch Moreland being traded to San Diego on Saturday.

White (shoulder) went 1-for-4 with a single and two strikeouts in Sunday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Angels.

White's single came in the 10th inning as the Mariners applied pressure on the Angels' bullpen. The rookie first baseman is slashing .170/.236/.370 with five homers, 17 RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base in 30 games this season. He missed three games with the shoulder injury, but White should see a majority of the playing time at first base going forward.

Mountcastle went 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBI in Sunday's 6-5 loss to Toronto.

The rookie slugger knocked his first career homer in the second inning before tacking on another two-run blast in the sixth. Mountcastle has four multi-hit performances in his last six games. He's sporting an impressive .393/.469/.679 slash line with four extra-base hits in 32 plate appearances.

White (shoulder) will start at first base and will bat sixth Sunday against the Angels.

White had been out of the starting nine for the past three games with a sore right shoulder, but a few days of rest were apparently all he needed to move past the issue. Even before sustaining the injury, the 24-year-old was struggling through his rookie season, slashing .167/.236/.375 across 106 plate appearances.

Diaz, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a win over the Marlins on Saturday, has raised his average 149 points to .303 during the month of August entering Sunday's action.

Diaz opened the season squaring up on the ball well, but he was frequently hitting right at the defense for some unfortunate outs. As was likely to happen, he's started to see the ball fall a lot more often by maintaining the same line-drive-heavy batted-ball profile over time, resulting in the substantial improvement in his numbers. Diaz is also helping himself with a career-low 12.9 percent strikeout rate, an impressive figure he's complementing with an elite 17.4 percent walk rate. Factoring in Saturday's multi-hit effort, his 10th of August, he now boasts a .303 average and eye-popping .424 on-base percentage across 132 plate appearances.
