Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Sitting against southpaw
O'Hearn is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
O'Hearn has a .794 OPS over 21 games in September but will sit for the second straight contest with lefty Martin Perez taking the mound for the Twins. Cheslor Cuthbert receives the start at first base in the season finale.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Expected back Sunday
Diaz (foot) is expected to be activated Sunday, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.
Diaz has been out with a bruised foot since late July but will be ready to go for the playoffs. He's expected to be limited to a designated hitter role.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Indians' Carlos Santana: Not starting Saturday
Santana is not in the lineup Saturday against the Nationals.
Santana is one of many Cleveland regulars to sit the day after the team was eliminated from playoff contention. Jake Bauers gets the nod at first base.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Leaves yard in loss
Olson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Mariners on Friday.
Olson unloaded a 370-foot shot to left with Matt Chapman aboard in the seventh inning to erase a 2-1 deficit at the time. The homer was Olson's first since Sept. 17, but he's still slugged an impressive nine overall during the month, which has helped lead to an impressive 23 RBI across his last 24 games.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Scratched with knee soreness
Guerrero was a late scratch from Saturday's lineup against the Rays with right knee soreness, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
He missed time in August with left knee inflammation, and now his other knee is giving him trouble. It may not seem like much, but given how big Guerrero is (at least 250 pounds), it is somewhat concerning that his lower body is giving him trouble in his age-20 season. With just one game left on the schedule, we may not see him again this season. Brandon Drury was added to the lineup at third base.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rays' Nate Lowe: Well-balanced night at plate
Lowe went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs in a win over the Blue Jays on Friday.
Lowe made some solid contributions from the latter half of the order in the postseason-clinching win, churning out his first multi-hit effort since Sept. 1 in the process. The rookie has only three extra-base hits during the month when factoring in Friday's two-bagger, but his season line remains a solid .272/.335/.469 (164 plate appearances) heading into the final pair of regular-season contests.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Out of Saturday's lineup
O'Hearn is not in Saturday's lineup against the Twins.
He is hitting .222 with one home run over his last 10 games. Cheslor Cuthbert is starting at first base and hitting fifth.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Could return Sunday
Diaz (foot) will play in an instructional league game Saturday with the goal of being activated from the 60-day injured list Sunday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Diaz has been out with a foot contusion since late July and had seemingly been ruled out for the year, but he's finally making good progress. He'll have a shot to play in one final regular-season game and he could be a factor in the playoffs, should the Rays qualify.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Works out at Trop on Thursday
Diaz (foot) worked out at Tropicana Field on Thursday in his ongoing attempt for a potential postseason return, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Diaz is also slated for instructional league at-bats Saturday as he continues a quest that may have seemed a bit farfetched just a few weeks ago. Diaz has been sidelined by a left foot fracture since mid-July, and his activation would require the clearing of a spot on the 40-man roster.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Takes seat
Gurriel isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
As anticipated, Gurriel will get the night off. Aledmys Diaz starts at first base and is set to bat fifth.
