  • Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Sitting Tuesday

Torkelson will not be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Following an 0-for-4, three-strikeout showing in Monday's loss, Torkelson finds himself in a 3-for-38 slump at the plate over his last 12 games. The rookie will get Tuesday off to hit the reset button, but skipper A.J. Hinch pledged his support behind Torkelson as the Tigers' everyday first baseman.

  • Kody Clemens 1B | MIN

Tigers' Kody Clemens: Tallies first two MLB hits

Clemens went 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored in Monday's loss to the White Sox.

Clemens finally got a few hits to his name, as he came into Monday 0-for-17 across nine games to begin his big league career. The 26-year-old may continue to see sporadic playing time for the Tigers, but he's not much of a fantasy asset at this point.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Homers in blowout win

Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-1 win over the Orioles.

Guerrero supplied RBI singles in the third and fifth innings before going yard on a solo shot in the eighth. It was his third multi-hit effort in his last four games as he continues to show signs of breaking out of his early May slump. Eight of his 15 homers this season have come in his last 18 contests. The first baseman has added a .258/.341/.493 slash line with 37 RBI, 31 runs scored and seven doubles across 252 plate appearances for the season as he rounds back into something resembling All-Star form.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Belts 14th homer

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Tigers.

The young slugger got the Blue Jays on the board in the fourth inning by taking Tarik Skubal deep. Guerrero's numbers in 2022 have been disappointing compared to his sky-high preseason expectations, but he's at least found his power stroke in June, slashing .255/.314/.617 through 11 games on the month with five of his 14 homers on the year.

  • Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Drives in two

Vaughn went 1-for-5 with two RBI on Sunday against the Rangers.

Vaughn delivered a single with the bases loaded to make his lone hit of the afternoon count. He had a productive series against Texas, driving in four despite recording only two hits across 12 at-bats. In a larger 20-game sample, Vaughn has been particularly productive, maintaining a .313 batting average with two home runs, 14 RBI and 11 runs scored. Despite playing time concerns to begin the campaign, Vaughn has solidified himself as a key member of the White Sox's lineup by maintaining a .348 wOBA and 130 wRC+ across 168 plate appearances.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Knocks ninth homer

Mountcastle went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Sunday's 10-7 win over the Royals.

Mountcastle hadn't recorded multiple hits in a game since his four-hit effort versus the Red Sox on May 30. He was 6-for-35 (.171) in his previous 10 contests, though five of the hits in that span went for extra bases. The 25-year-old now has a .254/.295/.435 slash line with nine homers, 28 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases through 207 plate appearances. He remains a fixture in the Orioles' lineup, but he hit sixth for just the third time in his last 21 contests -- more often, he slots in somewhere from the No. 3 to No. 5 spot in the order.

  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Heating up at Triple-A

Kirilloff hit two home runs Saturday for Triple-A St. Paul and is hitting .379 with eight homers and a 1.158 OPS in 24 games since being sent to the minors May 15.

Kirilloff will likely be called up again soon, but the Twins wanted to see him thrive in the minors after he missed several weeks after suffering inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist in mid-April and early May. There was a fear that Kirilloff may have had his power sapped from a setback to his wrist that needed surgery to repair a ligament tear last summer. It looks like his wrist is fully healthy, and he may be able to show the power in the majors again that he did at his peak last season.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Slams 15th homer

Rizzo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in an 8-0 victory versus the Cubs on Saturday.

Rizzo hit the last of the Yankees' six solo homers in the game, going deep to right field in the fifth inning. The long ball was his fourth over his past eight contests and 15th overall this season. Rizzo is on pace to notch his first 30-homer season since he hit 32 for the Cubs in 2017.

  • Kevin Padlo 1B | LAD

Mariners' Kevin Padlo: Snagged by Seattle

Padlo was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on Saturday.

Padlo was designated for assignment by the Giants on Wednesday, and it did not take him long to find a new home. Seattle's infield is fairly crowded, so it remains to be seen what role Padlo will fill for the Mariners.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Two-run double in win

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a two-run double and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Tigers.

Guerrero's 2022 campaign has arguably been disappointing after nearly winning the MVP award last season. The two-hit outing on Friday brought the star first baseman's batting average up to just .246. He's shown a little more promise in June, slashing .237/.310/.605 with four home runs, eight RBI and eight runs scored in nine games this month, including two multi-hit games and six games with extra-base hits.
