Trey Yesavage TOR SP
Blue Jays' Trey Yesavage: Hit with loss in ALCS Game 2
1h agoYesavage took the loss after allowing five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over four innings during Monday night's Game 2 of the American League Championship Series against the Mariners.
It's worth noting that two of the runs Yesavage was charged with came around to score after he'd been pulled from the matchup, but even with that in mind, he didn't have a sharp night on the bump. The rookie right-hander surrendered a three-run shot to Julio Rodriguez in the top of the first inning to immediately spot the opposition a three-run lead. Yesavage was removed in the top of the fifth after giving up an infield single and issuing an intentional walk, which was followed by a three-run home run by Jorge Polanco. Monday's showing certainly wasn't on the same level as Yesavage's dominant 11-strikeout showing during Game 2 of the ALDS, but he could get an opportunity to redeem himself later in the series if Toronto is able to steal a game or two in Seattle.

Logan Gilbert SEA SP
Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Gives up three in brief ALCS start
1h agoGilbert didn't factor into the decision during Monday's 10-3 win in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series against the Blue Jays. He allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out two across three innings.
Gilbert dealt with plenty of traffic on the bases in the bottom of the first inning, giving two runs back after his offense spotted him a three-run lead in the top half of the frame. The right-hander would surrender another run in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Nathan Lukes. Gilbert hurled 58 pitches before his removal, likely indicating that he'll be available either out of the bullpen or for another start later in the series if needed.

Jorge Polanco SEA DH
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Puts M's ahead for good in Game 2
1h agoPolanco went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 10-3 victory over the Blue Jays in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.
Polanco proved yet again to be a clutch hitter for the Mariners this postseason, launching a three-run homer in the top of the fifth inning to put his club ahead 6-3. This marks his third long ball of the playoffs, with his previous two coming against Detroit ace Tarik Skubal in Game 2 of the ALDS.

Isaac Collins MIL LF
Brewers' Isaac Collins: First postseason start Monday
4h agoCollins is starting in left field and batting eighth in Monday's Game 1 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers.
Collins entered two games off the bench during the NLDS against the Cubs, but this will be his first start of the postseason. To make room for Collins in left field, Jackson Chourio is sliding over to right field and Sal Frelick is playing center field.
-
Blake Perkins MIL CF
Brewers' Blake Perkins: Absent from Game 1 lineup
5h agoPerkins is not in the lineup for Monday's Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers.
Perkins started in center field in four of the five NLDS games versus the Cubs and participated in all five contests, but he will begin Monday's contest on the bench. Sal Frelick is shifting to center field and will be flanked by Isaac Collins in left field and Jackson Chourio in right field.

White Sox's Owen White: Removed from 40-man roster
5h agoThe White Sox Sox" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" data-league-abbreviation="MLB" data-team-abbreviation="CHW">White Sox outrighted White to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
White made three relief appearances for Chicago in 2025, allowing seven runs on 14 hits and three walks over seven innings. The 26-year-old is no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization.

Dalton Rushing LAD C
Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Left off NLCS roster
10h agoRushing is not on the Dodgers' NLCS roster, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Rushing was on the wild-card and NLDS rosters and struck out as a pinch hitter in his lone plate appearance. With Will Smith fully recovered from his fractured hand and no longer under any workload restrictions, the team no longer has a need for a third catcher. Ben Rortvedt will back up Smith, and reliever Ben Casparius has taken Rushing's spot on the roster.

Cal Raleigh SEA C
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Launches another homer in Game 1
23h agoRaleigh went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Raleigh singled in the first inning before he was able to take Kevin Gausman deep in the top of the sixth for a solo shot, knotting the game up at 1-1. The catcher is now batting .400 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored over 25 at-bats in six games so far in the playoffs.

Connor Wong BOS C
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Undergoes hand surgery
4d agoWong underwent a successful right hand carpal boss excision procedure Thursday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
A carpal boss excision involves the removal of a painful bony growth on the back of the wrist. The Red Sox did not reveal a rehab timetable for Wong, but the surgery is considered minor. Wong slashed only .190/.262/.238 over 63 games for the Red Sox in 2025, losing his starting job to Carlos Narvaez (knee). Narvaez had surgery himself this week, but both catchers should be fine for the start of spring training.
-
Carlos Narvaez BOS C
Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: Undergoes knee surgery
5d agoNarvaez underwent a successful left knee meniscectomy Wednesday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Narvaez played through a meniscus injury in his knee for much of the second half of the regular season and the playoffs before having a cleanup procedure Wednesday. He is expected to be fully recovered before spring training and should enter the 2026 season as Boston's top catcher after slashing .241/.306/.419 with 15 home runs in 118 contests.
-
Will Smith LAD C
Dodgers' Will Smith: In Game 3 lineup
5d agoSmith (hand) will start at catcher and bat fifth against the Phillies in Game 3 of the NLDS on Wednesday.
Smith's fractured right hand kept him on the bench for the Dodgers' first four postseason games, though he was able to deliver a two-run single off the bench in Game 2 on Monday. He'll now return to the starting nine and provide the Dodgers with another power bat while the team looks to punch its ticket to the NLCS.
-
Cal Raleigh SEA C
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Homers in Game 3 victory
6d agoRaleigh went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an additional RBI during Tuesday's win over Detroit in Game 3 of the ALDS.
After delivering a historic 60-homer campaign during the regular season, Raleigh flexed his muscles once more by hitting a 391-foot blast off Brenan Hanifee in the ninth to give the Mariners a couple of insurance runs in a game they would win 8-4. The AL MVP candidate is now 6-for-13 with three RBI and two runs scored through three games in the postseason.
-
Andrew Vaughn MIL 1B
Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Hits decisive Game 5 homer
2d agoVaughn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win against the Cubs in Game 5 of the NLDS.
Vaughn broke a 1-1 tie with his solo blast to left field in the fourth inning. The Cubs were unable to respond as Milwaukee finished off the series-clinching win. Vaughn went 4-for-14 with two homers and four RBI over five NLDS games. He and the Brewers will next face the defending-champion Dodgers in the NLCS.
-
Michael Busch CHC 1B
Cubs' Michael Busch: Smacks fourth homer of postseason
4d agoBusch went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Brewers in Game 4 of the National League Division Series.
Busch put the game away with his left-on-left homer off Robert Gasser in the eighth inning, which pushed Busch's playoff OPS to 1.162. His four homers this postseason lead the majors -- one more than Vladimir Guerrero and Teoscar Hernandez. It's still possible Busch starts Game 5 on the bench if the Brewers go with a lefty opener, but he should enter as soon as a right-hander takes the mound for the opposition.
-
Paul Goldschmidt NYY 1B
Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: In Game 4 lineup
5d agoGoldschmidt will start at first base and bat sixth Wednesday in Game 4 of the ALDS against the Blue Jays.
It will be Goldschmidt's first start of the series and just his second start so far this postseason. Right-handed reliever Louis Varland is serving as the opener in what will be a bullpen game for the Blue Jays.
-
Ben Rice NYY 1B
Yankees' Ben Rice: Retreating to bench
5d agoRice is not in the lineup Wednesday for Game 4 of the ALDS versus the Blue Jays.
The Yankees are turning to Paul Goldschmidt at first base as the Blue Jays go with a bullpen game. Rice is 4-for-18 with one home run, four RBI and a 1:8 BB:K across five games this postseason.
-
Jake Bauers MIL 1B
Brewers' Jake Bauers: Drawing Game 3 start at first base
5d agoBauers will start at first base and bat seventh Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLDS versus the Cubs.
Bauers was limited to just one pinch-hitting appearance in the first two games of the series, drawing a walk in that trip to the dish. He'll get a chance to start Wednesday against Cubs righty Jameson Taillon as the Brewers look to advance to the NLCS.
-
Andrew Vaughn MIL 1B
Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Absent from Game 3 lineup
5d agoVaughn is not in the lineup Wednesday for Game 3 of NLDS versus the Cubs.
Vaughn started at first base in each of the first two games of the series, hitting a home run in Game 2 and reaching base four times across the two contests. However, he will begin Wednesday's game on the bench as the Brewers give a start to Jake Bauers at first base.

Gleyber Torres DET 2B
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Slated for sports hernia surgery
3d agoTorres said after Friday's loss to Seattle that he plans to undergo sports hernia surgery in the offseason, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Torres added that he has been playing through the injury for multiple months, which helps to explain why he slashed .223/.320/.339 during the second half of the season after entering the All-Star break with an .812 OPS. His procedure isn't expected to affect his availability for the start of the 2026 campaign, so it also shouldn't interfere with the interest he receives in free agency this winter.
-
Jose Iglesias SD 2B
Padres' Jose Iglesias: Suspended one game by MLB
3d agoIglesias has been suspended one game by Major League Baseball for his actions following Game 3 of the National League Wild Card Series against the Cubs, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Iglesias was among several Padres players to voice their displeasure to the umpire crew following their Game 3 loss, but he's the only one to receive a suspension. Much of the angst was over a strike three call on Xander Bogaerts, who received a fine. Barring a successful appeal, Iglesias will serve the suspension on Opening Day next year. The 35-year-old is a pending free agent.

Miguel Rojas LAD 2B
Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Appears off bench in Game 3
4d agoRojas (hamstring) grounded out as a pinch hitter in Wednesday's NLDS Game 3 loss to the Phillies.
Rojas was removed from Game 2 after aggravating a hamstring injury, but he was available off the bench for Game 3 and should be ready if called upon in Game 4. The Dodgers are going with Enrique Hernandez at third base and Alex Call in left field Thursday.
-
Jose Altuve HOU 2B
Astros' Jose Altuve: Played through painful foot injury
6d agoAltuve said during the final weekend of the regular season that he played through a "pretty painful" right foot injury and would visit with doctors in the offseason before determining a treatment plan, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Altuve injured his foot in mid-September and missed one game before gutting it out over the final two weeks of the regular season. It's unclear whether Altuve has met with doctors yet to have the foot examined. Altuve finished the 2025 season with a .265/.329/.442 batting line, 26 home runs and 10 stolen bases over 155 games. The 35-year-old split his time fairly evenly between second base, left field and designated hitter, and it's uncertain where the Astros will have Altuve slotted in in 2026.
-
Miguel Rojas LAD 2B
Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Day-to-day with tight hamstring
6d agoDodgers manager Dave Roberts said Rojas is day-to-day after exiting Monday's NLDS Game 2 win over the Phillies with hamstring tightness, Cody Snavely of DodgersBeat.com reports.
Roberts noted that Rojas' hamstring has been bothering him "for the past few weeks," and he aggravated the injury in the bottom of the sixth inning when he dove into third base to get an inning-ending forceout. Rojas is not expected to be in the lineup for Game 3 on Wednesday even if he were 100 percent, but it's unclear at this point whether he will be available off the bench.
-
Marcus Semien TEX 2B
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Expected to have normal offseason
10d agoRangers general manager Ross Fenstermaker said Friday that Semien (foot) is expected to have a normal offseason, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Semien last played in late August due to a fractured third metatarsal and a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot, but he has not encountered any setbacks in his recovery and will not have his offseason training interrupted. The veteran second baseman slashed .230/.305/.364 with 15 home runs and 11 stolen bases over 127 contests in 2025.

Jordan Lawlar ARI 3B
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Heading to winter ball
3d agoLawlar will play winter ball in the Dominican Republic, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
The Diamondbacks need to find a home for Lawlar, who was drafted as a shortstop but is blocked at the position by Geraldo Perdomo, and the plan is to use him at a couple of positions in the DR. During his late-season call-up, Lawlar played third base, but shaky mechanics and footwork led to him being primarily a DH. In winter ball, he's expected to get regular reps at third base and in center field.
-
Max Muncy LAD 3B
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Out of lineup versus left-hander
4d agoMuncy is not in the lineup Thursday for Game 4 of the NLDS against the Phillies, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
It's left-hander Cristopher Sanchez on the bump for the Phillies, so the left-handed-swinging Muncy will begin the contest on the bench. Muncy has entered mid-game the first two times the Dodgers faced a lefty this series, and he's a good bet to do so again in Game 4. Enrique Hernandez will start at third base Thursday.
-
Otto Kemp PHI 3B
Phillies' Otto Kemp: Drawing start in left field
7d agoKemp will start in left field and bat ninth Monday in Game 2 of the NLDS versus the Dodgers.
With Harrison Bader (groin) out of the lineup, Brandon Marsh will shift to center field and Kemp will enter the fray in left field. It will be the postseason debut for Kemp, who slashed .234/.298/.411 with eight home runs in 62 regular-season contests for the Phillies.
-
Max Muncy LAD 3B
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sitting against Luzardo
7d agoMuncy is absent from the lineup Monday for Game 2 of the NLDS against the Phillies.
With the Phillies sending left-hander Jesus Luzardo to the bump, the left-handed-hitting Muncy will begin the contest on the bench. Miguel Rojas will start at third base and bat seventh for the Dodgers. There's a good chance Muncy will enter Game 2 at some point when/if the Phillies turn to a righty.
-
Addison Barger TOR 3B
Blue Jays' Addison Barger: Idle for Game 2
8d agoBarger is out of the lineup Sunday for Game 2 of the ALDS against the Yankees.
The left-handed-hitting Barger will dodge a matchup with southpaw Max Fried in Game 2. Ernie Clement will slide to third base while Isiah Kiner-Falefa plays second base Sunday.
-
Enrique Hernandez LAD 3B
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Drawing start in left field
13d agoHernandez will start in left field and bat eighth Tuesday in Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series versus the Reds.
Michael Conforto was not included on the Dodgers' wild-card roster, and it's Hernandez who will get the first opportunity in left field against Hunter Greene and the Reds. Hernandez posted a .975 OPS with two home runs over his final eight regular-season contests and is a career .278/.353/.522 with 15 homers in 86 playoff games.

Bo Bichette TOR SS
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Won't return for ALCS
2d agoBichette (knee) won't be included on the Blue Jays' roster for the ALCS against the Mariners, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
The 27-year-old returned to running the bases this weekend, but he appeared to feel some discomfort while doing so and won't be active for the championship series. Bichette landed on the injured list in early September due to a left knee sprain and made significant progress recently in his rehab work, but he needs a bit more time to get fully back up to speed. Andres Gimenez filled in at shortstop during the ALDS for Toronto, while Ernie Clement and Isiah Kiner-Falefa split starts at second base.
-
Bo Bichette TOR SS
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Resumes running
2d agoManager John Schneider said Saturday that Bichette (knee) has resumed running the bases, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Schneider added that Bichette also began facing live pitching Friday, checking off two significant boxes necessary for him to be included in the Blue Jays' ALCS roster. Toronto has until Sunday to make the final call on his availability, and the team will likely see how he responds to Saturday's workout before finalizing the roster.
-
Mookie Betts LAD SS
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Works key walk
4d agoBetts went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Phillies on Thursday.
The matchup was a pitcher's duel between Cristopher Sanchez and Tyler Glasnow, and Betts had one of the most important at-bats of the low-scoring affair. He came to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh inning, when he worked a walk to tie the game at 1-1. While Betts had a subpar regular season relative to his lofty standards, he's gone 10-for-26 with four RBI across six postseason contests.
-
Bo Bichette TOR SS
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Making progress, ALCS still unclear
4d agoBichette (knee) said Wednesday that he's "made some huge progress the last few days" but still needs to show he can run the bases before being cleared to join the Blue Jays' ALCS roster, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Recovering from a PCL sprain in his left knee, Bichette did some jogging this week for the first time since he was injured in early September. While he feels "really optimistic about where I stand," Bichette must be able to run the bases without major limitations in order to convince the Blue Jays he's ready to play. If the 27-year-old is included on the ALCS roster, he could be used at designated hitter in order to limit some wear and tear on his knee. Putting Bichette in the DH slot would mean George Springer moving back to the outfield.
-
Javier Baez DET SS
Tigers' Javier Baez: Plates four runs in Game 4
5d agoBaez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, two additional RBI and a stolen base during Wednesday's win over the Mariners in Game 4 of the ALDS.
Baez smacked an RBI single into left field to tie the game at 3-3 in the fifth inning. He then deposited an Eduard Bazardo offering into the left-field bleachers during the sixth to give the Tigers two more insurance runs en route to a convincing 9-3 victory. The 32-year-old is now 9-for-26 (.346) with a homer, five RBI and two runs scored through seven games in the postseason.
-
Bo Bichette TOR SS
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Does some jogging Wednesday
5d agoBichette jogged in the outfield without a brace on his injured left knee at Yankee Stadium pregame Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Bichette did not initially travel with the Blue Jays when the ALDS moved to New York, so the fact that he's now joined them and did some jogging for the first time since injuring his knee is a good sign. However, Bichette did not run at full effort, and he displayed a noticeable limp as he walked back to the dugout. Bichette hopes to be available for the ALCS, should the Blue Jays advance.

White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Removed from 40-man roster
5h agoThe White Sox outrighted Fletcher to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
Fletcher has been outrighted previously, so he has the ability to decline the assignment and become a free agent if he wants. The outfielder has managed just a .208/.254/.282 batting line over parts of two seasons with the White Sox.

Ryan Kreidler PIT CF
Pirates' Ryan Kreidler: Booted from 40-man roster
5h agoThe Pirates designated Kreidler for assignment Monday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

-
Will Robertson CHW LF
Pirates' Will Robertson: Claimed off waivers by Pirates
5h agoThe Pirates claimed Robertson off waivers from the White Sox on Monday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
Robertson went just 9-for-70 with a 2:27 BB:K over 75 plate appearances between the Blue Jays and White Sox in 2025 in his first action at the big-league level. However, the 27-year-old slashed .289/.387/.571 with 20 homers at the Triple-A level this season and can play all three outfield spots, so the Pirates will hope he can nail down a job as a reserve outfielder.

Brewers' Quinn Priester: In line for bulk relief outing
5h agoBrewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that there's a "71 percent" chance of Priester pitching at some point after opener Aaron Ashby in Game 1 of the NLCS, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Although Murphy didn't explicitly state it, Priester is likely to serve as the Brewers' bulk reliever Monday. The right-hander started Game 3 of the NLDS against the Cubs but failed to get out of the first inning, yielding four runs while recording only two outs. Priester was terrific for Milwaukee during the regular season, however, posting a 3.32 ERA and 132:50 K:BB over 157.1 frames.
-
Max Scherzer TOR SP
Blue Jays' Max Scherzer: Likely on tap for Game 4 start
7h agoScherzer threw a bullpen session Monday, tentatively lining him up to start Game 4 of the ALCS versus the Mariners on Thursday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Both Scherzer and Chris Bassitt were added to the Blue Jays' ALCS roster after neither were included on the ALDS roster. It appears it will be Scherzer getting the nod over Bassitt as the fourth member of Toronto's ALCS rotation, although manager John Schneider has not yet confirmed it. Scherzer stumbled to the finish line with a 9.00 ERA over his final six regular-season starts. However, he had a 3.60 ERA and 56:15 K:BB over 60 frames covering his first 11 starts, and the Blue Jays will place faith in the 41-year-old's extensive postseason experience.
-
Bryan Woo SEA SP
Mariners' Bryan Woo: Tentatively in line for Game 5
7h agoWoo (pectoral) is tentatively lined up to start Game 5 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Woo was not on the Mariners' ALDS roster as he works his way back from right pectoral inflammation, but he is on the ALCS roster and had a successful live batting practice session Monday that he referred to as "a huge positive." If he recovers well from live BP, it sounds as though Woo will start on Friday in Game 5, if necessary. If that happens, he will have gone nearly a month between starts, as Woo's last appearance came Sept. 19 against the Astros.

Kevin Gausman TOR SP
Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: Picks up tough-luck loss in Game 1
22h agoGausman was tagged with a loss after he pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters in Sunday's 3-1 defeat to the Mariners in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Gausman was able to blank Seattle through 5.2 innings before Cal Raleigh launched a solo homer off the right-hander, ultimately knocking him off track. Gausman walked Julio Rodriguez, who was the following batter, and was then removed from the game. Rodriguez would later come around to score on a single from Jorge Polanco, accounting for the final tally on starting pitcher's line. Gausman will look to get another crack at the Mariners' lineup later in the series.

White Sox's Elvis Peguero: Cleared off 40-man roster
5h agoThe White Sox outrighted Peguero (elbow) to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
Peguero finished the season on the 15-day injured list with a strained right elbow, though he did not require surgery and should be ready for spring training, barring any setbacks. He's no longer on the 40-man roster but could be in spring training with the White Sox as a non-roster invitee.

Aaron Ashby MIL RP
Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Serving as NLCS Game 1 opener
7h agoAshby will be the Brewers' opening pitcher Monday in Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Ashby struggled as the opener in Game 2 of the NLDS against the Cubs, yielding three runs over 1.2 innings. However, lefties slashed just .193/.299/.241 against the southpaw during the regular season, so it makes sense to use Ashby in this spot to face Shohei Ohtani and likely Freddie Freeman. Quinn Priester is expected to provide bulk relief for the Brewers in Game 1.

Tobias Myers MIL RP
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Added to roster for NLCS
9h agoMyers is included on the Brewers' NLCS roster, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Myers was not on the Brewers' NLDS roster, but he pitched well for the big club this season when used in relief, holding a 1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 20:3 K:BB over 28.1 innings. The righty offers more length in the bullpen than the guy he's replacing on the roster, Nick Mears.
-
Nick Mears MIL RP
Brewers' Nick Mears: Not included on NLCS roster
9h agoMears is not on the Brewers' NLCS roster, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Mears made three scoreless appearances during the NLDS and posted a 3.49 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 46:13 K:BB over 56.2 innings during the regular season, so his exclusion from the NLCS roster comes as a surprise. His spot is being absorbed by Tobias Myers, who will offer the Brewers more length in the bullpen.
