Javaris Davis: Lands with Miami's practice squad
Davis was signed to the Dolphins' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The Dolphins cut quarterback Jake Rudock in a corresponding move. Davis was waived with a non-football injury designation during training camp but will now return to the team and provide depth in the defensive backfield.

Davis (undisclosed) passed through waivers unclaimed Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Cut with a non-football injury designation by the Dolphins one day earlier, Davis didn't revert to the NFI list, making him a free agent. The undrafted rookie will search for a chance with another organization, though he'll need to pass a physical as well.
