Tiefensee was brought up after Jake Oettinger (lower body) was ruled out for Tuesday's preseason tilt and is now heading back to the minors. At this point, fantasy players should anticipate Tiefensee spending the entire season in the minors, making him a non-factor in fantasy contests, especially redraft formats.

Stars' Arno Tiefensee: Recalled by Dallas
Tiefensee was recalled from AHL Texas and added to the roster for Wednesday's home preseason game against the Wild.
Jake Oettinger is slated to play all of Wednesday's preseason matchup. Tiefensee was loaned to Texas on Tuesday, but he'll be available Wednesday, at least in a depth capacity. Regardless of whether Tiefensee plays against Minnesota, he'll presumably begin the 2026-27 regular season in the minors.

Tiefensee wasn't available for Monday's 2-1 preseason win over St. Louis, but he should be back on the ice soon. The 24-year-old netminder posted a 10-7-0 record with a 3.30 GAA and an .892 save percentage across 20 appearances for AHL Texas during the 2025-26 regular season.

Stars' Arno Tiefensee: Tending to injury
Tiefensee (upper body) will miss Monday's preseason contest against the Blues, per Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports.
Tiefensee will be sidelined Monday after he was spotted icing an area near his neck. The 24-year-old netminder had a tough go of things in his first season with AHL Texas, where he compiled a 10-7-0 record, an .892 save percentage and a 3.30 GAA across 20 regular-season appearances. He was replaced on the roster by Brandon Halverson, and until we hear an update regarding Tiefensee's health, expect to see him out of the lineup. His next chance to return is Wednesday against the Wild.

Stars' Arno Tiefensee: Earns first AHL shutout
Tiefensee notched a 24-save shutout in AHL Texas' 5-0 win over Rockford on Friday.
Tiefensee picked up his first AHL shutout with this effort. He's 7-4-0 with a 2.16 GAA and a .928 save percentage over 12 outings in the AHL this season. Remi Poirier is still seeing most of the playing time for Texas, so Tiefensee is no higher than fourth on the Stars' organizational depth chart.
