Vlasic (lower body) is set to play Thursday versus Boston, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times on Wednesday.
Vlasic missed Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Florida because of the injury. He had four goals, 30 points, 59 hits and 157 blocks in 82 outings with the Blackhawks in 2024-25. Now that Vlasic is healthy, Ethan Del Mastro is likely to draw out of the lineup after logging 17:35 of ice time Tuesday.

Vlasic (lower body) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Red Wings, according to Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.

Vlasic scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Predators.
After a scoreless opening period, Vlasic tallied 1:56 into the second frame to break things open. The Blackhawks' lead lasted just 40 seconds before Steven Stamkos netted the first goal of what was ultimately a hat trick. Vlasic has picked up four points and a minus-1 rating over his last six outings, and he's holding his own as the Blackhawks' top overall defenseman since the Seth Jones trade with the Panthers. Vlasic is now at 25 points (three goals, 22 assists) with 86 shots on net, 48 hits, 119 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 64 appearances. There's still room for growth, especially in non-scoring areas, but the 23-year-old needs to be considered in many fantasy formats.

Vlasic has six helpers over his last seven outings. The 23-year-old defenseman's role is set to increase significantly following Saturday's trade to send Seth Jones to the Panthers. Vlasic led the Blackhawks with 23:53 of ice time, and he'll likely also take over Jones' spot on the first power-play unit initially. For the season, Vlasic has 23 points, 81 shots on net, 113 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 60 appearances. There may be some growing pains initially as he adapts to heavier usage, but he could be a No. 1 defenseman for the Blackhawks for a couple of years. Fantasy managers should at least be familiar with what he brings to the table while acknowledging that he carries a bit of upside despite a bad team situation until the Blackhawks' rebuild hits the upswing.
