Dontae Manning: Let go with injury settlement
Manning (undisclosed) was waived from the Bears' injured reserve Wednesday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Manning reverted to the Bears' IR on Aug. 31 after clearing waivers. The cornerback played in the first two preseason games with the team, logging 11 tackles (nine solo) and two passes defensed. The second-year player out of Oregon has already cleared waivers and is now a free agent able to sign with any franchise.

Bears' Dontae Manning: Shifts to Chicago's IR
Manning (undisclosed) reverted to the Bears' injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
By reverting to injured reserve, Manning will be forced to miss the entire 2026 season unless an injury settlement is reached with Chicago. He played in each of the Bears' first two preseason games, logging 11 tackles (nine solo) and two pass defenses.

Manning recorded 11 total tackles (nine solo) during the preseason, but it appears as if the cornerback picked up an undisclosed injury along the way. If the 24-year-old clears waivers, he'll revert to season-ending injured reserve with Chicago.
