Steelers' Donte Kent: Continues recovery
Kent (knee) was placed on the active/PUP list Tuesday, Mark Kaboly of 93.7 The Fan Pittsburgh reports.
Kent went down with a foot injury at the start of 2025 training camp but returned in December only to suffer a torn ACL, derailing his rookie season. The 2025 seventh-round pick will need to be cleared in order to practice, and the recovery timeline could impact his ability to make the roster after Pittsburgh drafted Daylen Everette in the third round this past draft.

Steelers' Donte Kent: Returns to field
Kent (ankle, knee) was spotted participating in Pittsburgh's OTAs on Monday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Kent missed the majority of the Steelers' 2025 campaign due to an ankle injury sustained during training camp. Then, just as his 21-day practice window was opened Dec. 3 for a potential return, he sustained an ACL injury that sidelined him for the remainder of his rookie season. However, it now appears he's moved past both issues and will battle for a depth spot in Pittsburgh's cornerback room as the offseason progresses.

However, he suffered a new ankle injury, which is apparently severe enough to prevent him from playing for the rest of his rookie season. Kent has been sidelined since early in training camp.
