  Philadelphia is expected to sign Jackson (undisclosed) to its practice squad, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com reports. Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Eagles worked out Jackson on Tuesday, and it seems like they liked what they saw from the big running back. Philadelphia recently placed Tank Bigsby (abdomen) on its injured reserve list, and starter Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and 2024 fourth-rounder Will Shipley (foot) are also dealing with injuries, so it makes sense that the team might want to add some organizational depth in the backfield.

The running back suffered an injury that forced play to be stopped for several minutes after the opening kickoff of Philadelphia's preseason game with New England on Saturday. Jackson left the field in an ambulance and had to be taken to a local hospital, but his CT scans came back negative.   Jackson (undisclosed) was discharged from a local New England hospital and joined his Eagles teammates for their return trip to Philadelphia following Saturday's 24-21 loss, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports. Jackson suffered a serious injury on the opening kickoff after his head appeared to collide with Lan Larison's leg. Jackson left the field in an ambulance before being taken to a local hospital, where CT scans came back negative. It's the best-case scenario for the Arkansas product, but given what transpired Saturday, it seems unlikely that Jackson will play in Friday's preseason finale against Cincinnati.
