Player Outlook
Until Cooper finds meaningful playing time, Fantasy managers shouldn't bother adding him to rosters.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: Draws praise from Hurts

Jalen Hurts singled out Cooper on Wednesday as an emerging player at Eagles training camp, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Cooper made the team as an undrafted rookie last season and appeared in 13 regular-season contests for the Eagles, catching nine of 11 targets for 92 scoreless yards across 212 offensive snaps. He's competing for a role behind DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Makai Lemon (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks in Philadelphia's reconstructed wide receiver room.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: Ties season high with two catches

Cooper caught both of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders. Both of Cooper's receptions came in garbage time with the Eagles leading 31-0 in the fourth quarter. The rookie wideout is now up to five catches on the season, all of which have come in the last four weeks.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: Longest catch of season Monday

Cooper recorded a 19-yard reception on his lone target in Monday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Chargers. Cooper finished fourth among Philadelphia wideouts in snaps, taking the field for 21 of the Eagles' 71 offensive plays (30 percent). He came through with his longest play of the season in the fourth quarter, when he took a pass from Jalen Hurts for a 19-yard catch and run. So long as top wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith stay healthy, the undrafted rookie out of Tarleton State is unlikely to see his role on offense expand.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: First receptions of 2025 in loss

Cooper caught both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Cowboys. The Tarleton State product played 12 offensive snaps and operated as the Eagles' No. 4 wideout in the Week 12 loss. He finished with the sixth-most receiving yards on the team, ahead of Jahan Dotson (who went without a catch on one target). Cooper has appeared in just seven games this season, contributing on both offense (72 snaps) and special teams (37 snaps). He's expected to play a similar role in the Week 13 matchup against the Bears.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: Dealing with shoulder issue

Cooper (shoulder) is questionable to return to Monday night's contest against the Packers. Cooper suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter of the game, placing some doubt on his ability to return to the field during Monday Night Football. In his absence, Xavier Gipson could stand to see some additional snaps with the offensive unit.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: No looks as third wideout

Cooper served as the Eagles' third wide receiver for Sunday's 38-20 win over the Giants but did not receive a single target. Cooper's return from a shoulder injury was well-timed, as it gave the Eagles added wideout depth in the absence of A.J. Brown (hamstring). While Cooper did see the field for 25 offensive snaps, Jalen Hurts didn't look his way with any of his 20 pass attempts. Even if Brown remains out following the team's Week 9 bye, Cooper's fantasy value will likely remain limited.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: Sent to IR

The Eagles placed Cooper (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday. Cooper will be sidelined at least four games due to a shoulder injury sustained during Sunday's win over the Rams. The issue reportedly won't require surgery. In his stead, John Metchie becomes positioned for an uptick in opportunities behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson.

  • Eagles' Darius Cooper: Won't return due to shoulder injury

Cooper has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Rams due to a shoulder injury, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Cooper suffered the injury during a kick return, which has been deemed severe enough for him to miss the rest of Sunday's contest. John Metchie will be the Eagles' fourth wide receiver behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson the rest of the way due to Cooper's injury.
