Mitchell Tinsley: Joining Houston's practice squad
Tinsley signed with Houston's practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The fourth-year wideout played in all 17 games for the Bengals in 2025, stringing together an 8-116-2 line on 24 targets while handling a depth role in the receiving corps. Tinsley was unable to win a spot on the Bengals' roster coming out of training camp, but he could have a clearer path to seeing playing time in Houston at some point in 2026 with Jayden Higgins (knee) out for the season and Tank Dell (knee) set to miss at least the team's first four games.

Mitchell Tinsley: Waived by Cincy
Tinsley was waived by the Bengals on Sunday, Charlie Clifford of NBC 5 Cincinnati reports.
The wide receiver caught eight passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns for the Bengals in 2025. He also played on 123 special-teams snaps and agreed to a one-year extension with the team in January, but he fell short of the 53-man roster for 2026 after a competition with rookie fourth-round pick Colbie Young and former Canadian Football League player Dohnte Meyers. Tinsley has NFL experience and could find a home on the practice squad of either Cincinnati or another team.

Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Sticking around Cincinnati
Tinsley and the Bengals agreed on a one-year contract extension Monday.
Tinsley caught eight of 24 targets for 116 yards and two touchdowns over 17 contests during the regular season, and he'll now stick around Cincinnati for another year. The wide receiver will compete for a top reserve spot behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins in 2026.

Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Held catchless in win
Tinsley failed to reel in his lone target in Sunday's 45-21 win over the Dolphins.
Tinsley played 22 of the Bengals' 61 offensive snaps Sunday, behind Ja'Marr Chase (53), Tee Higgins (38) and Andrei Iosivas (31). With Higgins returning from a concussion that sidelined him in Week 15, the 26-year-old Tinsley was a complete non-factor in the contest, taking a back seat in Cincinnati's passing attack against a vulnerable Dolphins defense. The Penn State product should not be trusted for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 17 matchup against the Cardinals.

Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Logs 16 yards in loss
Tinsley caught one of two targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Ravens.
The Penn State product operated as the Bengals' No. 3 wideout Sunday while Tee Higgins (concussion) was sidelined. However, Tinsley saw just two targets, with the vast majority of Cincinnati's receiving work going to Ja'Marr Chase and Chase Brown, who combined to catch 17 of 23 targets for 169 yards. Tinsley has now recorded eight receptions on 23 targets for 116 yards and two touchdowns through 14 appearances this season. He's likely to remain a depth option in the Bengals' receiver room in the Week 16 matchup against the Dolphins.

Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Aiming for consistency Week 15
Tinsley is focused on making the most of his expanded offensive opportunities with Tee Higgins (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.
Tinsely was previously targeted nine times versus Baltimore in Week 13, a contest that Higgins also sat out, though he secured just two of those targets for 22 yards. With Higgins back on the field Week 14, Tinsley played just nine of 60 offensive snaps and wasn't targeted once. Opportunity knocks once again for Tinsley in Week 15, however, and he said he's "looking forward to proving" his consistency during Sunday's rematch. Andrei Iosivas also will be in line for increased snaps behind top WR Ja'Marr Chase as long as Higgins remains sidelined.

Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Held catchless in loss
Tinsley failed to record a single target in Sunday's 39-34 loss to the Bills.
Tinsley was a complete nonfactor against the Bills, playing just nine of the Bengals' 60 offensive snaps without seeing a target from quarterback Joe Burrow. Heading into a Week 15 matchup against Baltimore, fellow wideout Tee Higgins is in the concussion protocol. If Higgins is forced to miss time, Tinsley would be a likely candidate to see a solid uptick in both snaps and targets. Fantasy managers in need of help at the wide receiver position could consider the Penn State product when the Bengals host the Ravens in Week 15.

Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Unable to convert chances
Tinsley had two catches for 22 yards in Thursday night's win over the Ravens, despite getting targeted nine times.
Tinsley played 53 offensive snaps (66 percent) due to Tee Higgins sitting out with a concussion. Many of his targets were contested plays, suggesting that he had a hard time gaining separation from the Ravens' defensive backs. We'll have a better idea next week whether Higgins will be ready to return from his concussion and play against the Bills.

Tinsley caught two of six targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Patriots.
With Ja'Marr Chase serving a one-game suspension and Tee Higgins (concussion) getting knocked out of the game late, Tinsley ended up doubling his target total on the season while hauling in his second TD of 2025 on a 17-yard toss from Joe Flacco. The Bengals' passing game could look very different in Week 13 if Joe Burrow (toe) is ready to return, but a potential Higgins absence could leave Tinsley with a larger role than usual once again in a Thanksgiving tilt against the Ravens.

Tinsley caught one pass on two target for 27 yards in the loss to the Bears in Week 9.
Tinsley played a season-high 17 offensive snaps, as the Bengals were playing catch-up most of the game and frequently went with four wide receivers. He has displayed a penchant for acrobatic catches both in the preseason and twice (on three total catches) now in the regular season, albeit on only six targets overall.

Tinsley went untargeted while playing three of the Bengals' 62 snaps on offense in Sunday's 37-24 loss to the Lions.
After drawing at least one target in each of the Bengals' previous three contests, Tinsley went without a look in the passing game while playing his fewest snaps to date through five weeks. Though the Bengals continue to prioritize him ahead of 2024 second-round pick Jermaine Burton at receiver, Tinsley will likely struggle to see meaningful volume while all of Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Andrei Iosivas and Mike Gesicki are available.
