Jonathan Kongbo: Works out for Broncos

Kongbo worked out for the Broncos on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. The defensive end was waived by the 49ers in September after he was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. It appears that Kongbo is healthy going into the 2022 offseason and will look to find a new team.

Kongbo (groin) cleared waivers Friday and reverted to the 49ers' injured reserve, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Kongbo didn't play in the 2019 season and will have a similar turnout in 2020 unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Niners.
