Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Tuesday that Turner sustained a fractured clavicle during Sunday's loss to the Chargers and will be placed on injured reserve, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Just as the Bengals had feared, Turner suffered a significant injury in the Week 11 loss, and there's a good chance he'll miss the remainder of the season as a result. Turner claimed a starting role with Cincinnati by Week 12 of his rookie season, but the 2023 second-round pick is now in a true competition with Hill, who lined up at safety last season. Conway reports that Hill could have an early lead in the competition as of mandatory minicamp, but it will be difficult to make much of offseason practices until full pads come on at training camp in late July.
