Fantasy Football: Why You Should Avoid Breece Hall

Fantasy News

  • Eric Watts: Cut loose by New York

Watts (undisclosed) was waived by the Jets after the two sides reached an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Watts was set to miss the entirety of the 2026 campaign while on injured reserve with the Jets after suffering an undisclosed injury during training camp. The defensive lineman will now be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, he'll have the ability to pass a physical and play elsewhere this season.

  • Jets' Eric Watts: Moving to IR

Watts (undisclosed) reverted from waivers to the Jets' injured reserve list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Watts was not claimed by another club after the Jets waived him with an undisclosed injury Wednesday, so he's now in line to spend the entire 2026 season on IR. His absence could open up more practice opportunities for Kingsley Jonathan and Paschal Ekeji.

  • Eric Watts: Let go by Jets

The Jets waived Watts (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday. Watts will likely revert to the Jets' injured reserve if he clears waivers. The 25-year-old spent the past two seasons with the Jets, racking up 23 tackles (13 solo) across 18 games. He will now shift his focus to getting healthy for the 2027 campaign.

  • Jets' Eric Watts: Not playing Week 16

Watts (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints. Watts was not cleared to practice all week while in the league's concussion protocol, and he'll look to progress enough to be available for the Jets' Week 17 home tilt against the Patriots on Sunday, Dec. 28. Micheal Clemons and Braiden McGregor should both see a slight uptick in defensive snaps Sunday in Watts' absence.

  • Jets' Eric Watts: Considered unavailable Wednesday

Watts (concussion) was estimated to be a non-participant at the Jets' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Watts suffered a concussion in the team's loss to the Jaguars in Week 15, and his inability to participate to open the week comes as no surprise. The defensive end will have to clear concussion protocol to play in Week 16, and that seems like quite the uphill battle at the moment.
