The Packers placed Reed (collarbone/foot) on injured reserve Saturday.
Reed was already playing through a Jones fracture in his foot when he sustained a broken collarbone early during a Week 2 win against the Commanders. He's since undergone surgeries for both health concerns and is facing a 6-to-8 week recovery timetable, meaning a move to IR was inevitable for Reed. For at least the next two games, the Packers' receiving corps will be composed of Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath, while Christian Watson (knee) will be eligible for activation from the reserve/PUP list as soon as Week 6 following a Week 5 bye.
Reed announced Tuesday via social media that he underwent successful surgeries to repair a fractured collarbone and a Jones fracture in his left foot.
Surgery was expected after the wideout fractured his collarbone in last Thursday's win over the Commanders, but Reed has also elected to simultaneously get a procedure for his foot fracture, which popped up during training camp. The multiple surgeries aren't expected to alter the timeline for his return, which is estimated at 6-to-8 weeks. Even with Reed out of the picture for the next several games, the Packers still have plenty of depth at receiver on hand in Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Facing 6-to-8-week absence
Rotowire
Reed is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks after fracturing his collarbone in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Rapoport previously reported Friday that Reed will undergo surgery next week to address the injury, and the estimated 6-to-8-week recovery timeline will keep him out through early-to-mid-November. The Packers will likely place Reed on injured reserve in the coming days to open up a spot on the 53-man roster. While Reed is sidelined, the Packers should have extra snaps available for all of the remaining members of their deep rotation of receivers (Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath). Through Green Bay's first two games, Doubs is the only Packers receiver to play more than 70 percent of snaps (71 percent Week 1, 74 percent Week 2).

Packers' Jayden Reed: Hoping for November return
Rotowire
Reed (collarbone) will have surgery next week and hopes to return in November, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Packers diagnosed Reed with a broken collarbone following Thursday's win over Washington. He'll presumably be placed on injured reserve soon, which could open up more playing time for fellow Green Bay wideouts Matthew Golden, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath. The team also may get Christian Watson (knee) back before Reed, who was playing through a Jones fracture in his foot prior to the collarbone fracture.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Diagnosed with broken collarbone
Rotowire
Reed suffered a broken collarbone in the first quarter of Thursday's game against the Commanders, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.
Reed fell hard on his right shoulder in the end zone in the first quarter of Thursday's game and was quickly ruled out. Coach Matt LaFleur said that Reed will miss "a lot" of time, and that he'll land on injured reserve. Reed is expected to return at some point during the regular season, but he'll be sidelined until at least late October and almost certainly longer.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Ruled out against Commanders
Rotowire
Reed (shoulder) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Commanders.
Reed exited the contest early in the first quarter after landing hard on his shoulder on a touchdown catch that was nullified by a penalty. There's no additional word on the severity of his injury, but he presumably will undergo imaging with updates to come either later Thursday or Friday. Reed was spotted with a sling on his right shoulder on the sideline in the second half, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Suffers shoulder injury
Rotowire
Reed is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Commanders after suffering a shoulder injury in the first quarter, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official sitereports.
Reed made a catch in the corner of the end zone on Green Bay's first possession, but the score was nullified by a penalty. To make matters worse, he immediately grabbed his shoulder and was slow to get up. Reed was spotted walking into the locker room with trainers, clearly favoring his shoulder area.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Clear for TNF
Rotowire
Reed (foot) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Commanders, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Despite Reed and fellow WRs Matthew Golden (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) being listed as limited at least once during Week 2 prep, all three will be available to Green Bay's offense Thursday. Reed himself is attempting to play through a Jones fracture in his left foot, but he was able to log a 38 percent snap share and run 12 routes on his way to a receiving 3-45-1 line on five targets during Sunday's 27-13 win versus the Lions.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Reps capped in walk-through
Rotowire
Reed (foot) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
After being gauged as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Reed increased his activity enough to garner a limited listing. His practice reps will likely be restricted over the next few weeks while he works his way back from a Jones fracture sustained early in training camp, but he should continue to suit up on game days. Green Bay is facing a quick turnaround for Week 2 with a Thursday night matchup against the Commanders, so the team could look to manage Reed's snap count after he took the field for just 18 plays on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Lions. The third-year wideout made an impact during his time on the field, producing a 3-45-1 receiving line on five targets while also gaining 21 yards on two punt returns.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Listed as DNP on Monday
Rotowire
Reed (foot) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Reed likely will be operating under a maintenance program for as long as the Jones fracture in his left foot is bothering him, but he was able to suit up for Sunday's win against the Lions, logging 18 of 48 offensive snaps (38 percent) in the process. He was effective with his limited workload, hauling in three of five targets for 45 yards and one touchdown and taking two punt returns for 21 yards. Reed will have two more chances to be deemed a practice participant this week ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Commanders.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Slated to play Week 1
Rotowire
Reed (foot) remains listed as questionable but is in line to suit up Sunday against the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Among Packers skill-position players, Reed's status for Week 1 was the biggest lingering concern for the team, but the wide receiver will play through the Jones fracture in his left foot that has bothered him for roughly one month. Confirmation of his availability for Sunday's game will come in about 90 minutes before the contest's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, when Green Bay will release its inactive list.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Limited in return to practice
Rotowire
Reed (foot) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Reed got back on the practice field after sitting out Wednesday's session, which may be his maintenance plan for the foreseeable future due to the Jones fracture in his left foot that he's been dealing with for roughly a month. Coach Matt LaFleur told Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com that the Packers "absolutely" will give Reed a chance to make himself available Sunday against the Lions, but at this point he seems destined to head into the weekend with a questionable designation for that contest.

Packers' Jayden Reed: DNP on Wednesday
Rotowire
Reed (foot) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Reed got back on the practice field last Wednesday and then took part in a competitive team scrimmage in pads Thursday, after which it was revealed that his absence for the preceding three weeks was due to a Jones fracture in his left foot, per Jason Wilde of CBS Madison. After last Wednesday's session, he acknowledged to Wood that he isn't able to run routes without discomfort, so his DNP this Wednesday may be just maintenance to ensure he's as healthy as possible for Sunday's matchup with the Lions. Reed's activity level, or lack thereof, Thursday and/or Friday may provide insight into his odds to suit up Week 1.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Fighting through Jones fracture
Rotowire
Reed (foot) has a Jones fracture in his left foot but plans to play through the injury this season, Jason Wilde of CBS Madison reports.
Reed returned to practice Wednesday after resting for three weeks, acknowledging afterward that he wasn't 100 percent and was still "working through" the injury. It's an issue that often requires surgery and a multi-month timeline for rehab/recovery in such a scenario. He'll thus try to avoid surgery, or at least delay it until the offseason, but his fantasy value plunges with the added injury risk (and possibility of reduced performance or limited workloads). Reed intends to play Week 1, although Green Bay's medical staff has a reputation for being cautious with injured players. He's participating in Thursday's padded practice scrimmage, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Still dealing with some pain
Rotowire
Reed, who returned to practice Wednesday, said he can't run routes without discomfort after dealing with a foot injury for a good portion of training camp, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Reed had been sidelined since at least Aug. 7 due to a health concern that caused him to wear a walking boot for close to a week earlier this month. He relayed that he recently started running routes again and primarily feels some pain when he attempts to plant and cut, leaving his status for Week 1 unknown. Having said that, Reed's return to the field Wednesday is a step in the right direction as the Packers turn their focus to a season-opening matchup with the Lions on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Sheds walking boot, not practicing
Rotowire
Reed (foot) is not wearing a walking boot at Thursday's practice, though he is not participating in on-field activities, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Reed appears to be making incremental progress in his recovery from a lingering foot injury, though he still appears on track to sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Colts as the Packers continue to prioritize his availability for Week 1. Green Bay's passing offense is heavily depleted at Thursday's practice, with Jordan Love (thumb) sidelined, along with wideouts Reed, Romeo Doubs (back), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Christian Watson (ACL), the latter of whom remains on the active/PUP list.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Not certain to be ready for Week 1
Rotowire
Reed is wearing a walking boot, and his foot injury is not the same as the toe issue he dealt with entering training camp, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
It had been presumed that Reed was dealing with a minor issue and was being held out of Saturday's preseason opener simply as a precaution, but there is more concern about his status now that he's wearing a walking boot. When head coach Mat LaFleur was asked about the talented wideout's potential availability for Week 1 after Saturday's loss to the Jets, he conveyed hope that Reed would be available but added "anytime you see a guy in a boot that's a concern." If Reed's injury carries into the regular season, Dontayvion Wicks (calf) could be asked to take on a bigger role early, and Matthew Golden could function as Green Bay's top wideout.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Practicing after all
Rotowire
Reed (toe) is participating in full-team drills Friday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
It sounds like there was a miscommunication, as Reed made a spectacular catch in 11-on-11s just minutes after he was announced as a non-participant. In any case, this confirms that the toe injury he suffered Thursday is nothing serious.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Not practicing due to toe injury
Rotowire
Reed will miss Friday's practice with a toe injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Reed left Thursday's practice early, with Packers coach Matt LaFleur explaining Friday morning that the wideout had an issue with his cleats. The problem apparently led to some discomfort or pain that can't be immediately solved by new cleats, but this doesn't sound like anything that will keep Reed out for long.

Packers' Jayden Reed: Bulks up in offseason
Rotowire
Packers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable said Wednesday that Reed (shoulder) has bulked up to 199 pounds this offseason and is acting as a leader in the wide receiver room, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Reed's playing weight was listed at 187 pounds last season, so if he's able to retain his quickness despite adding bulk, additional muscle will boost his odds of managing a Year 3 breakout. General manager Brian Gutekunst said that the team still views Reed as its "top receiver" despite drafting Matthew Golden (23rd overall) and Savion Williams (87th overall) in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, but it's nonetheless difficult to project exactly how much target volume the slot specialist will be able to demand in what now looks like one of the league's more crowded WR rooms. Reed has managed to lead Green Bay in both receptions and receiving yards in his first two seasons in the league, but he's not yet strung together a 1,000-yard season. He was forced out of the team's playoff loss to Philadelphia early due to a dislocated shoulder, but Reed was able to avoid surgery and offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said he "looks great" at voluntary practices.
