  • Dolphins' Ethan Bonner: Officially back with Miami

Bonner and the Dolphins agreed to terms on a one-year deal Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The 26-year-old has officially agreed to remain in Miami after spending the first three seasons of his NFL career with the team. Across 14 contests in 2025, Bonner tallied 15 total tackles and two passes defensed, including one interception, while playing just 91 defensive snaps. He's expected to compete for a depth role in the Dolphins' secondary ahead of the 2026 season.

  • Dolphins' Ethan Bonner: Staying in Miami

The Dolphins tendered a contract to Bonner on Monday as an exclusive rights free agent. As an exclusive rights free agent, Bonner cannot negotiate a contract with a team as long as the tender is in place, so he'll suit up for the Dolphins in 2026. The Stanford played mostly on special teams in 2025 but did see some rotational snaps in the secondary, with Bonner finishing with 15 tackles (eight solo), two pass defenses (one interception) and one fumble recovery across 14 regular-season games.

  • Dolphins' Ethan Bonner: Ready to rock

Bonner (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation for Thursday's road game against the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Bonner was sidelined due to a hamstring injury for Miami's first two regular-season games, but he's all clear to suit up for Thursday Night Football. With Storm Duck (ankle) ruled out versus Buffalo, Bonner will provide the Dolphins' cornerback corps a much-needed boost.

  • Dolphins' Ethan Bonner: Gets in limited practice

Bonner (hamstring) was limited in Tuesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, there's a "good chance" Bonner plays Thursday night against the Bills after he's missed the Dolphins' first two games of the season. With Storm Duck (ankle) injured, Bonner's return would be good news for Miami.

  • Dolphins' Ethan Bonner: Inactive again

Bonner (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Patriots. The cornerback missed the Dolphins' Week 1 loss to the Colts with the same issue. Bonner has been dealing with the injury since mid-August. With starter Storm Duck (ankle) also inactive Sunday, Rasul Douglas, JuJu Brents and Jason Marshall could all see increased snaps.
