  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Ruled out for Thursday night

Hill (ankle) did not practice Wednesday and is ruled out for Thursday's game against the Ravens, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill will miss a second consecutive game due to an ankle injury, the severity of which has also prevented him from practicing in any capacity. With Hill unavailable versus Baltimore, Tanner Conner will be positioned to start at tight end for the Dolphins while Greg Dulcich handles No. 2 duties. Hill's next opportunity to get back on the field will arrive Sunday, Nov. 9 versus the Bills in Week 10.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Not seen at practice Wednesday

Hill (ankle) wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill logged DNPs on Monday's practice estimate and Tuesday's walk-through, so the tight end's apparent absence Wednesday doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Thursday night against the Ravens. If Hill -- who was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Falcons -- is unavailable versus Baltimore, Tanner Conner and Greg Dulcich would be in line to lead Miami's Week 9 TE corps.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Still not practicing

Hill (ankle) is listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill did not practice in any capacity en route to being ruled out for Miami's win over the Falcons in Week 8, and he now appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Week 9, given the short turnaround facing the Dolphins ahead of Thursday's home matchup against the Ravens. For any chance of suiting up for Thursday Night Football, Hill will need to resume handling at least limited reps Tuesday and/or Wednesday. With Darren Waller (pectoral) on IR, Tanner Conner and Greg Dulcich will dominate reps at tight end again if Hill is unable to go.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Not at Thursday's practice

Hill (ankle) is not participating in the early portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill is on track to miss back-to-back practices due to an ankle injury, which makes his availability for Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons uncertain. If Hill is unable to suit up Week 8, the bulk of targets made available to the TE position by Miami's placement of Darren Waller (pectoral) on IR will go to Tanner Conner, as well as recent practice-squad signee Greg Dulcich.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Sits out practice Wednesday

Hill (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill is staring down an opportunity for an expanded role with Darren Waller (pectoral) having been placed on IR on Wednesday, so it's unfortunate to see him being held out of practice due to an ankle issue. In the event that Hill is unable to suit up for Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons, Tanner Conner will figure to draw the start at tight end while Greg Dulcich, who Miami signed off the practice squad Wednesday, locks down the No. 2 role.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Climbs up depth chart

Hill is positioned for an expanded workload beginning Sunday on the road against Atlanta with the Dolphins having placed Darren Waller (pectoral) on injured reserve Wednesday. Hill and Tanner Conner will split tight end reps with Greg Dulcich, who was signed from the practice squad Wednesday, for at least the next four games while Waller works his way back to health. During the first three games of the regular season, Hill and Conner operated without Waller, with neither player managing much receiving production, but the Dolphins are now also without Tyreek Hill (knee - ACL), freeing up a significant amount of targets behind top wideout Jaylen Waddle. As a result, Hill, Conner and Dulcich now all possess limited fantasy appeal in deeper fantasy formats, especially those requiring multiple starting tight ends.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Four catches vs. Carolina

Hill caught four of five targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Panthers. Prior to the Week 5 loss, Hill had caught just two of three targets for 23 yards through Miami's first four games. The Campbell product's increase in usage is likely due to Tyreek Hill (knee) being sidelined for the remainder of the season. Although Hill had his best game of the season, he played behind Darren Waller, who posted a 5-78-1 receiving line Sunday. Expect Hill to continue operating as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end in the Week 6 matchup against the Chargers.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes one grab vs. Bills

Hill secured his only target for four yards during Thursday's 31-21 loss to the Bills. Hill and Tanner Conner (one catch for 13 yards on two targets) have had an opportunity to split tight end reps through the first three weeks of the season with Darren Waller (hip) sidelined, but neither has managed to rack up significant receiving production despite those expanded opportunities. Even if Waller remains sidelined Week 4 versus the Jets, neither Hill nor Conner will warrant significant consideration in fantasy lineups.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Scores first points of NFL career

Hill recorded a two-point conversion reception during Sunday's 33-8 road loss to the Colts. Hill wasn't targeted outside of a two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter, which occurred after Miami's first and only touchdown of the day. With Darren Waller (hip) inactive due to an injury setback, Hill got a chance to start at tight end Week 1 and played 58 percent of offensive snaps, while Tanner Conner saw an identical workload. Neither tight end was targeted aside from the untimed two-point conversion attempt, though Conner saw more playing time on third downs while Hill handled the majority of early downs. If Waller is unable to return Week 2 versus the Patriots, Hill and Conner will continue to split time, with neither option carrying notable fantasy value.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Improves in Year 2

Hill secured 12 of 19 targets for 100 yards across 16 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2024. Hill managed to improve upon his rookie year receiving line of 6-48-0 (on nine targets) despite being held without a catch in Miami's final four games of the regular season. He'll work to continue his development during the 2025 campaign, the final year of his contract with the team.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes pair of catches Sunday

Hill caught two of his three targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 34-19 win versus the Raiders. While it was a fine game for him, the difference in role between Hill and teammate Jonnu Smith could not have been more clear in Week 11, with the latter playing 52 offensive snaps to Hill's 36 and drawing eight targets to Hill's three. As long as Smith remains available, Hill's path to fantasy relevance is basically nonexistent.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Good to go vs. Las Vegas

Hill (shoulder) was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Raiders, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill was limited in Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury, but he was able to practice without restrictions Friday and will be good to go for Week 11. Hill has mostly been utilized as an extra blocker while serving as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end behind starter Jonnu Smith.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Good to go Monday

Hill (shoulder) was a full practice participant Saturday and carries no injury designation into Monday's game against the Rams, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Hill injured his shoulder in Week 8 against Arizona, which forced him to be sidelined against the Bills in Week 9. He opened this week with consecutive limited practice sessions, but he finished off strong Saturday with a full practice and will suit up Monday. Hill has logged seven catches (on 10 targets) for 45 yards through seven regular-season games while operating as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end behind Jonnu Smith.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Won't play in Week 9

Hill (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill was unable to practice all week after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Dolphins' Week 8 loss to the Cardinals. His next opportunity to see the field will come in Week 10, when the Dolphins play the Rams on Monday night. Expect Durham Smythe to serve as Miami's No. 2 tight end behind Jonnu Smith in Hill's stead Sunday.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes six grabs in rookie season

Hill secured six of nine targets for 48 yards across 15 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2023. Hill, who linked with Miami as an undrafted free agent out of Campbell back in May, managed to earn an immediate rotational role on offense despite being forced to miss the first two games of the season due to an ankle injury. If Hill can further his development heading into Year 2, and if the Dolphins decline to add a big name to the tight end room, he could push for a more even split of reps with Durham Smythe.
... See More ... See Less
  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Held without a catch

Hill was not targeted during Monday's 28-27 loss to the Titans. Hill played just 19 percent of snaps during Monday's loss, a notable regression given that he handled 30-plus percent of snaps in his last three appearances. It's possible that Tyreek Hill (ankle) being less than 100 percent led Miami to rely on veteran Durham Smythe more on offense. In any case, the depth tight end remains off the fantasy radar heading into a key Week 15 divisional matchup against the Jets.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes two catches

Hill secured both of his targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 45-15 win over Washington. Hill saw his highest target total of the season Sunday while playing 32 percent of offensive snaps. Though he has yet to record any notable production, dynasty managers might want to monitor whether Hill continues to encroach on Durham Smythe's involvement in the passing game. His next opportunity to take a step forward will come Monday versus the Titans.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Secures sole target

Hill brought in his only target for a 10-yard catch during Sunday's 20-13 win over the Raiders. Hill was the only Dolphins tight end to record a catch with Durham Smythe (ankle) inactive Sunday, as his involvement on offense mostly came as a blocker. If Smythe remains inactive for Week 12, Hill could be a sneaky fantasy pivot in deeper formats or those that start multiple TEs during Friday's divisional matchup against the Jets.

  • Dolphins' Julian Hill: Will play Sunday

Hill (ankle) is active Sunday against the Broncos. Hill was able to make the team as an undrafted free agent in camp, but the injury has kept him on the sidelines to start the season. However, the Campbell product will be able to make his NFL debut Sunday. With Tyler Kroft (back) inactive, only Durham Smythe is ahead of him on the team's positional depth chart.
