Bengals' Colbie Young: Two catches in first NFL action
Young caught two of four targets for 28 yards in Thursday's 16-14 preseason win over the Lions.
Young ran with Joe Flacco and the second-team offense in the rookie fourth-round pick's NFL debut. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are entrenched in the top two spots on Cincinnati's wide receiver depth chart, but Young will try to contribute in a depth role out of the gate. Young should continue to get ample opportunities in the Bengals' second preseason game against the Bears on Aug. 22.

Bengals' Colbie Young: Strong minicamp impression
Young made a strong impression in the Bengals' recently concluded minicamp, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
After the Bengals swung and missed on Jermaine Burton in the draft two years ago, they've been lacking a solid No. 3 wide receiver to replace Tyler Boyd. They're hopeful that Young, their fourth-round pick from Georgia, can help fill that void.

Bengals' Colbie Young: Picked up by Bengals
The Bengals selected Young in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 140th overall.
Young certainly doesn't lack for size at 6-foot-5, 218 pounds, and he moves well for that size, running a 4.49 4-yard dash at the NFL Combine, though he takes a bit of time to get up to speed. Young's height and big frame give him plenty of range, and he's comfortable working down the field, but he doesn't have a special-teams background. That's likely something he'll need to learn with the Bengals, but Young will also get an opportunity to hone his craft behind two star wideouts in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. However, the room behind that duo and Andrei Iosivas is largely unproven, so Young could have a chance to carve out a spot pretty high on the depth chart with a good showing in training camp.
