Packers' Matthew Golden: Posts team-high 58 receiving yards
Golden caught four of six targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 20-17 overtime win over the Jets.
In addition to leading the team in receiving yards, Golden drew a pivotal 38-yard pass interference penalty to get the Packers out of a first-and-25 hole on a drive that culminated in a Christian Watson touchdown catch to cut the deficit to three points in the fourth quarter. Golden has been out-targeted 19-18 by Watson through two games, and both wide receivers figure to maintain prominent roles in Thursday's Week 3 home game against the Eagles. Fellow Packers wideout Jayden Reed (neck) looks unlikely to suit up for that game after being carted off the field on the opening drive Sunday.

Packers' Matthew Golden: Draws team-high 12 targets in win
Golden caught six of 12 targets for 95 yards in Sunday's 39-22 loss to the Vikings.
With the Packers chasing the Vikings on the scoreboard much of the fourth quarter and getting virtually nothing from their running game all day, Jordan Love dropped back to pass 46 times, and Golden's 40 routes and 12 targets both led the team, as he lined up out wide 92.5 percent of the time. The second-year wideout's 28.6 percent target share is a great sign for his fantasy viability moving forward. Golden will be a WR3 with upside next Sunday on the road against the Jets.

Packers' Matthew Golden: Records one catch in preseason
Golden finished the Packers' preseason schedule with one catch (on one target) for 19 yards across two games.
Golden was held without a target in the team's exhibition opener but was on the receiving end of a dot from QB Jordan Love in Denver in preseason Week 2, displaying the duo's growing rapport. Green Bay invested a first-round pick in Golden during the 2025 Draft, but a crowded receiving corps capped him to just a 29-361-0 line on 44 targets in 14 regular-season games as a rookie. With Romeo Doubs having moved on to the Patriots in free agency and Dontayvion Wicks getting traded to the Eagles this offseason, the WR options for Love are more clear cut between Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Golden, giving the latter a better chance to tap into his potential in the upcoming campaign.

Golden secured his only target for 19 yards in the Packers' 33-13 preseason win over the Broncos on Friday.
The speedy wideout's one catch was nothing if not noteworthy, as it came on fourth down and against Broncos All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain. Golden put together an inconsistent but serviceable 2025 rookie campaign where he generated a 29-361-0 line on 44 targets over 14 regular-season games, but he posted a four-catch, 84-yard, one-touchdown tally in the wild-card loss to the Bears, and he's expected to take on a much bigger role this season following the offseason departures of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks.
