Golden (shoulder/foot) didn't participate in Tuesday's walkthrough practice.
Coming out of Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions, Golden is nursing a pair of injuries that have resulted in him going down as a non-participant on the Packers' Week 8 injury report. The Packers will see if Golden can upgrade to limited or full participation in Wednesday's session before deciding whether he'll carry a designation into Thursday's game against the Panthers. Despite leading the NFL with six drops through the first seven weeks, Golden has emerged as a useful fantasy asset in his second NFL season with 36 receptions for 540 yards and three touchdowns on 69 targets to go with six rushing yards.

Golden (shoulder/foot) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports
After being limited last week due to a shoulder injury, Golden was able to suit up Sunday at Detroit, logging an 85 percent snap share and corralling six of 12 targets for 39 yards. As Week 8 prep kicks off, he's also tending to a foot issue. Golden will have two more chances to be listed as something other than DNP this week before the Packers potentially tag him with a designation for Thursday's game against the Panthers.

Packers' Matthew Golden: Makes six catches Sunday
Golden gathered in six of 12 targets for 39 yards during Sunday's 20-17 defeat in Detroit.
Golden has been targeted at least 12 times by QB Jordan Love in four of seven appearances this season, resulting in three 100-yard efforts to date. Drops and near misses between the two continue to be a feature in the Packers offense, though, as Golden has recorded a catch rate of 50 percent or better four times, with his mark in 2026 sitting at only 52.2 percent. Golden and Green Bay next have a Thursday night matchup with the Panthers on the docket in Week 8.

Golden (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Lions.
After being limited in practice this week, Golden is good to go for Sunday's divisional matchup in what projects to be a shootout at Ford Field. In just six games this season, Golden has already surpassed last year's marks in catches, yards and touchdowns, producing a 30-501-3 receiving line on 51 targets. He's developed into an every-week WR2 for fantasy.

Both Golden and fellow WR Christian Watson (ankle) have opened Week 7 prep as limited on both of the Packers' first two injury reports. Head coach Matt LaFleur told Demovsky on Thursday that he has no concern about the availability of either player for Sunday's contest at Detroit. Packers' Matthew Golden: Tops 100 yards with TD
Golden caught six of 13 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Cowboys.
Golden reached 100 receiving yards for the second consecutive game and third time overall this season. He capped the opening drive with a nine-yard touchdown catch, which gives the 2025 first-round pick three receiving touchdowns in his last four games after Golden began his career with a 16-game regular-season touchdown drought. Golden would have had an even bigger game if not for a pair of near-misses in the second quarter on a deep ball and an end-zone pass that were both in his hands before falling incomplete. Heading into a Week 7 matchup with Detroit's weak secondary, Golden has drawn a team-high 57 targets from Jordan Love, which is nine more than Christian Watson.
