    Henningsen (Achilles) is participating during the Broncos' minicamp, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports. Henningsen sat out the entire 2025 season after tearing his Achilles during a practice in August, but it looks like he's back in shape as minicamp kicks off. He'll be competing for a depth role on Denver's defensive line in 2026.

Henningsen missed the entire 2025 season after tearing his Achilles in training camp joint practices with the 49ers.     Henningsen is being evaluated for an Achilles injury after departing Thursday's joint practice with the 49ers, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports. If further testing reveals a rupture in Henningsen's Achilles, he would be done for the 2025 season. The 2022 sixth-round draft pick didn't see the field in the 2024 regular season.

  • Broncos' Matt Henningsen: Heads to Mile High City

    The Broncos selected Henningsen in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 206th overall. Per Dane Brugler of the Athletic, Henningson became the first freshman walk on and start the season opener for Wisconsin in nearly 30 years. He moved into a full-time starting role as a redshirt senior in 2021 and racked up 33 tackles and three sacks. Henningsen has useful athleticism for his position and can develop into a rotational piece on the defensive line.
