Mark Robinson: Let go by Jets
The Jets waived Robinson on Saturday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Robinson's removal from the Jets' 53-man roster coincides with Ja'Markis Weston (groin) from injured reserve. Robinson primarily played on special teams and logged five tackles (four solo) through the first six games of the regular season. The 2022 seventh-rounder could remain in New York as a member of the Jets' practice squad if he's not claimed off waivers by another team.

Jets' Mark Robinson: Signed by Jets
The Jets signed Robinson from the Patriots practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Robinson was elevated from the Patriots' practice squad to the active roster in each of the first three games of the regular season, accruing three tackles (two solo) while playing exclusively on special teams. Robinson's addition to the Jets' active roster is a much needed one, given that fellow outside linebackers Quincy Williams (shoulder) and Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring) were placed on injured reserve Tuesday. For as long as Williams and McCrary-Ball are sidelined, Robinson should work in a rotational role with rookie fifth-rounder Francisco Mauigoa and Cam Jones.

Steelers' Mark Robinson: Has career day vs. Cardinals
Robinson recorded eight tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 24-10 loss versus the Cardinals.
Robinson's tackle total in Week 13 was the highest of his young career, and Sunday was the first time this season he's managed more than four tackles. He will probably continue to see regular playing time with Cole Holcomb (knee) and Kwon Alexander (Achilles) out the rest of the season.

Steelers' Mark Robinson: Likely to take on starting role
Robinson will likely move into a starting role after Kwon Alexander sustained a torn Achilles' tendon during Sunday's win over the Packers, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Robinson handled increased snaps Sunday after Alexander exited the game early, and the 2022 seventh-rounder will likely see even more playing time moving forward. Robinson tallied just five solo tackles over the first eight games of the season but racked up three tackles (two solo) during Sunday's win over Green Bay. Elandon Roberts should also see an uptick in playing time for the Steelers over the second half of the season.
