Bears' Dayo Odeyingbo: Participating in full team drills
Odeyingbo (Achilles) participated in full team drills during the Bears' minicamp session Tuesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
It's a very promising sign for Odeyingbo, who only appeared in eight regular-season games last season before tearing his Achilles in November. It looks like there's a realistic chance he'll be ready to play a significant role off the edge come Week 1 at Carolina.

Bears' Dayo Odeyingbo: Back in the mix for training camp
Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen noted this week that Odeyingbo (Achilles) will "definitely be in the mix" at defensive end when the Bears get to training camp, Courtney Cronin of ESPN reports.
Odeyingbo was limited to eight games during the 2025 regular season after sustaining a torn Achilles Nov. 2. It remains to be seen if the 2021 second-rounder, who signed a three-year, $48 million contract with the Bears in March of 2025, is limited at the start of training camp, but barring any setbacks, the 26-year-old should be able to reclaim his key role along Chicago's defensive line ahead of Week 1. Prior to his injury, Odeyingbo had recorded 21 tackles and 1.0 sacks. The Vanderbilt product's career high in sacks came in 2023, when he recorded 8.0 sacks in 17 regular-season contests with the Colts.

Bears' Dayo Odeyingbo: Officially placed on IR
The Bears placed Odeyingbo (Achilles) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Odeyingbo sustained an Achilles injury during the Bears' 47-42 win over the Bengals on Sunday. The injury is severe enough for the 2021 second-rounder to be sidelined for the rest of the season, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the start of the 2026 campaign. With Odeyingbo done for the year, the Bears solidified their depth on the defensive line by acquiring Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and a 2026 seventh-round pick via trade from the Browns on Tuesday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.

Bears' Dayo Odeyingbo: Out for year with Achilles injury
Odeyingbo will miss the rest of the 2025 season due to an Achilles injury he sustained during the Bears' 47-42 win over the Bengals on Sunday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Odeyingbo left midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's game due to what was originally reported as an ankle injury. However, further tests have a revealed an Achilles injury that will sideline the 2021 second-rounder for the rest of the season, and he'll finish with 21 tackles (nine solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defense across eight regular-season games. With Odeyingbo done for the year, Austin Booker and Daniel Hardy are slated to see more snaps at defensive end.

Odeyingbo registered eight tackles, including one tackle for loss, in the Bears' 30-16 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
