  • Taysom Hill: Could reunite with Payton

Broncos head coach Sean Payton told reporters Saturday that the team will explore signing Hill, who parted ways with the Saints earlier this week, Steve Wyche of NFL Network reports.

Hill spent the first nine years of his NFL career with the Saints but announced Wednesday in a social media post that he would not return to New Orleans for a 10th season. There appears to be great interest from the Broncos to bring in the versatile tight end, who played under Payton for several of his years with the Saints. Hill has demonstrated his ability to play in multiple roles and spots on offense and would give the Broncos another legitimate playmaker alongside Courtland Sutton, Jaylen Waddle and J.K. Dobbins.

  • Taysom Hill: Says farewell to New Orleans

Hill posted a farewell message to the Saints on his personal X account Wednesday.

Hill was rumored to be on his way out in New Orleans ahead of the offseason, and he made the news official Wednesday. The 35-year-old has spent the last nine seasons as a member of the Saints' roster, and he has logged snaps at tight end, quarterback, wide receiver and running back while returning kicks as well. The jack-of-all-trades has not committed to what he plans on doing moving forward, but if Hill is active in 2026, he will now be wearing a new team's uniform.

  • Taysom Hill: Unlikely to return to NOLA

Saints GM Mickey Loomis said Monday that the team has not offered Hill a contract to return to New Orleans, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.

It appears the team is moving on from the 35-year-old fan favorite. Hill has spent all nine seasons of his career with the Saints as a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none type of player who saw snaps at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end across 118 career regular-season games. The free agent hasn't drawn any known interest this offseason after appearing in 13 contests last regular season. He rushed 52 times for 114 yards and one touchdown, averaging a career-low 2.2 yards per carry after averaging at least 5.0 yards per attempt in each of his previous eight campaigns.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Recovering from AC joint injury

Saints head coach Kellen Moore said Wednesday that the injury Hill (shoulder) sustained Week 18 is "just an AC," Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Hill was forced out of New Orleans' loss to the Falcons in Week 18 due to a shoulder injury, but it appears he's just managing an AC joint sprain, and not the type of issue that would significantly impede his offseason recovery. More importantly, it remains unclear whether the 36-year-old veteran intends to continue his playing career for another season. Hill is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he told Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com in December that the decision on whether or not to retire will be made "down the road."

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Production falls hard in 2025

Hill (shoulder) finished the 2025 season with 52 carries for 114 rushing yards and one touchdown, as well as 11 catches (on 16 targets) for 91 yards over 13 games. He also completed two of six passes for 57 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Hill started the season on the reserve/PUP list after rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in December 2024. He ended the 2025 campaign with an injury, leaving late in the Week 18 loss to Atlanta with a right shoulder issue. The 36-year-old finished with his worst season-long stat line since 2018, and he's now played just 21 regular-season games over the last two years. Hill is set to become an unrestricted free agent, but it's unclear if he'll continue playing or choose to hang it up this offseason, as he told Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com in December that he would decide on his future "down the road." Whether he remains with New Orleans or joins a new team, Hill likely will not be a significant player in fantasy football moving forward.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Departs Week 18 with shoulder issue

Hill (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's matchup against Atlanta.

Hill exited in the third quarter of the Saints' season finale. Per the broadcast, he took off his pads and headed to the locker room after getting hurt. The veteran tight end recorded three catches on three targets for 32 yards prior to his departure. Moliki Matavao will likely work as New Orleans' No. 2 tight end behind Juwan Johnson for as long as Hill remains out.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Records zero yards in win

Hill totaled three carries for zero rushing yards and did not record a target during Sunday's 34-26 win versus Tennessee.

Hill didn't serve as the Saints' primary rusher as he did in last week's win versus the Jets. The 35-year-old has now logged three or fewer carries in four of the last five contests, and he's tallied 52 rushing attempts for 114 yards across 12 appearances this season. Hill has factored in as a receiver at times this season, but he's recorded a target in only six games this season, including just four games with one or more catches. Hill's irregular workload doesn't bode well for his fantasy production in the Saints' regular-season finale against Atlanta.
