  The Rams waived Edwards on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Edwards spent all of last season on Los Angeles' practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract with the organization in late January. He appeared in all three of the team's preseason contests, catching six of eight targets for 48 yards. Edwards won't make the team's initial 53-man roster, but he's a candidate to return to the practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

• Rams' Tru Edwards: Gets future deal with Rams

  The Rams signed Edwards to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Edwards signed with the Rams in May as an undrafted free agent and opted to stick around on the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He did not appear in a single game during his rookie season, but he'll be on the Rams' 90-man roster at the start of the offseason, giving him the opportunity to make an impression on the coaching staff during OTAs and minicamp.

  The Rams signed Edwards to the practice squad Wednesday, Wyatt Miller of the team's official site reports. Edwards wasn't able to make the Rams' 53-man roster after logging four catches (on six targets) for 57 yards and one touchdown in two preseason games. He'll stay in Los Angeles as a member of the Rams' practice squad, where the undrafted rookie will be eligible for elevation to the active roster if the team needs depth at wide receiver.
