    Dippre was signed to the Patriots' practice squad Wednesday. Dippre went unclaimed on waivers after being let go Tuesday, and he will now remain in New England as a member of the team's practice unit. The tight end will look to impress in order to potentially earn an elevation to the active roster at some point this season to make his NFL debut.

    Dippre is slated to sign with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports. Dippre posted 757 yards and three touchdowns across his final three college seasons between Maryland and Alabama. He's considered a strong run blocker while being a willing special-teams contributor. Dippre will lean on both of those traits as he aims to earn a roster spot through training camp.
