  • Cowboys' Ajani Cornelius: Plays in preseason opener

Cornelius (knee) was active for the Cowboys' 17-7 preseason win over Seattle on Saturday. Cornelius finished the 2025 season on injured reserve with Dallas while nursing a knee injury, but he now appears to be fully healthy. The offensive lineman played 68 percent of the team's offensive snaps in the victory, and he'll continue to compete for a spot on the Cowboys' initial 53-man roster.

  • Cowboys' Ajani Cornelius: Inactive again

Cornelius (knee) is inactive for Monday's game against the Cardinals. Cornelius will miss his fourth straight game with a knee injury. He's served as a depth tackle, so his absence won't significantly shift Dallas' game plan.

  • Cowboys' Ajani Cornelius: Inactive for Week 8

Cornelius (knee) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Broncos. Cornelius will be sidelined for a third straight week with a persistent knee injury. As a depth piece on the offensive line, his absence does not carry much of an impact for the Cowboys in Week 8.

  • Cowboys' Ajani Cornelius: Out with knee injury Week 6

Cornelius is dealing with a knee issue and is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Cornelius' knee issue held him to a trio of limited practices this week, and he's not going to suit up Sunday. The rookie offensive tackle hasn't yet played an offensive snap this season, so he may not have gotten onto the field against the Panthers even if he was healthy.

  • Cowboys' Ajani Cornelius: Lands with Dallas in Round 6

The Cowboys selected Cornelius in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 204th overall. Cornelius was the starting right tackle at Oregon for the last two seasons and played in 50 total collegiate games. That experience will serve him well, but his limited versatility -- he played exclusively right tackle in college-- could ultimately hinder his ability to make Dallas' roster out of camp. Even if he does break camp with the team, Cornelius will almost certainly serve in a reserve role.
