Maye completed 18 of 26 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 25-19 win over the Saints. He added a team-high 28 rushing yards on nine carries and also ran in a two-point conversion.
The second-year QB was sharp right from the coin toss, hitting DeMario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte for long TDs in the first quarter before adding another 29-yard score to Boutte just before halftime right after New Orleans had taken a 16-14 lead. Maye has tossed multiple touchdowns in four of the last five games, posting an impressive 9:1 TD:INT over that stretch and leading New England to three straight wins. He'll look to keep rolling in Week 7 against the Titans.

Patriots' Drake Maye: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Maye had his worst Fantasy outing of the season in Week 5 at Buffalo with 12.1 points, but it was in the biggest win of his career, so we'll give him a pass since he played well in reality. This week, he should bounce back in Fantasy against the Saints, who are No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. All five opposing quarterbacks against New Orleans have thrown at least two touchdowns, and three quarterbacks against the Saints have rushed for at least 38 yards (Kyler Murray, Josh Allen and Jaxson Dart). Maye should return as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in Week 6

Patriots' Drake Maye: Earns win in tough road environment
Rotowire
Maye completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 273 yards, no touchdowns and no turnovers while taking three carries for 12 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over Buffalo.
Maye continued his impressive development in Week 5 despite failing to score a touchdown for the first time this season. The sophomore signal-caller did the dirty work between the 20s, leading a pair of lengthy drives in the second half that RB Rhamondre Stevenson finished off with short rushing scores. Maye is completing an impressive 73.9 percent of his pass attempts through five starts, leading New England to a surprising 3-2 start to the campaign. The North Carolina product should continue offering starter-level production in fantasy in a road tilt against the Saints next Sunday.

Patriots' Drake Maye: QBs to Start
Rotowire
The Bills are allowing the most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season as Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields and Spencer Rattler each scored at least 4.9 Fantasy points with their legs alone. Now, Jackson is the lone quarterback with more than 16.8 Fantasy points against Buffalo this year, but Maye is on fire coming into this matchup with at least 23.2 Fantasy points in three games in a row. A big reason for that is his rushing ability with two rushing touchdowns this season and two games with at least 31 rushing yards. And now he might have a legit No. 1 receiver after Stefon Diggs just had a 100-yard game in Week 4. This should be a fun game between Maye and Josh Allen, and Maye has top-10 upside in all leagues.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Near perfect in easy win
Rotowire
Maye completed 14 of 17 passes for 203 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed three times for 11 yards and another score in the Patriots' 42-13 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Maye's ultra-efficient stat line underscored New England's all-around dominance on the afternoon, and he didn't need to do much as a passer in the second half after the Patriots took a 28-6 lead into halftime. The second-year signal-caller connected with seven different targets while hitting Hunter Henry and Mack Hollins for scores. Maye added his second rushing touchdown of the campaign on a five-yard run to open the second quarter, and he'll look to extend his streak of games with multiple TD passes to four when New England visits Buffalo for a Week 5 road showdown next Sunday night.

Patriots' Drake Maye: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Maye has been a standout Fantasy quarterback in each of his past two games against the Dolphins and Steelers, scoring at least 23.2 points in each outing. He's rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown in those two games, and hopefully he continues to use his legs on a weekly basis. This week, Maye faces a Panthers defense that has yet to allow more than 16.2 Fantasy points to an opposing quarterback in matchups against Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray and Michael Penix Jr. But I'm expecting Maye to be the first quarterback to top 20 Fantasy points against Carolina, and he's a must-start option in all leagues.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Throws two scores in Week 3 loss
Rotowire
Maye completed 28 of 37 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Steelers. He added 45 rushing yards on seven carries.
The second-year QB found Hunter Henry for scores in the second and fourth quarters, but the rest of the Patriots' offense struggled on the afternoon, especially on the ground -- Maye led the team in rushing yards, and RBs Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson combined to lose three fumbles. Maye has a 5:2 TD:INT through three games to begin his sophomore season, but in Week 4 he faces a Panthers defense that surprisingly just shut out the Falcons and fellow 2024 first-round pick Michael Penix.

Patriots' Drake Maye: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Maye took advantage of Miami's subpar defense in Week 2 with 30.3 Fantasy points, and he gets another favorable matchup in Week 3 against Pittsburgh. The Steelers were abused by Justin Fields in Week 1 for 31.5 Fantasy points, and Sam Darnold scored 19.8 points at Pittsburgh in Week 2. At some point we might see this defense wake up, but Maye is worth trusting in this matchup at home as a low-end No. 1 quarterback in all leagues.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Three total TDs in Week 2 win
Rotowire
Maye completed 19 of 23 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 10 times for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Dolphins.
Maye tossed first-quarter touchdown passes of eight yards to Mack Hollins and 16 yards to Kayshon Boutte, then ran in a six-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The 2024 third overall pick has demonstrated consistent playmaking ability with his legs, reaching 30 rushing yards in seven of his first 14 NFL starts. This was only his fifth game with multiple touchdown passes, but Maye tied his career best in completion percentage Sunday, suggesting he's improving as a passer heading into a Week 3 home game against the Steelers, who have surprisingly allowed 31.5 points per game this season.

Patriots' Drake Maye: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Maye let me down as the Start of the Week in Week 1 against the Raiders when he only scored 17.8 Fantasy points, but there were some positives. He had career highs in completions (30), pass attempts (46) and passing yards (287), but I was hoping for more production on the ground since he only had four carries for 11 yards. He can reward us this week against the Dolphins, who made Daniel Jones look like a Hall of Famer in Week 1 with 31.5 Fantasy points. Miami's defense should be among the worst in the NFL this season, and Maye should be considered a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues in Week 2.

Patriots' Drake Maye: High-volume passing day in loss
Rotowire
Maye completed 30 of 46 passes for 287 yards with a touchdown and an interception and added four rushes for 11 yards in the Patriots' 20-13 loss to the Raiders on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by New England.
Beginning what is to be his first full season as a starter, Maye fought an uphill battle for most of the afternoon in a game where the Patriots found themselves down 7-0 after the opening possession. He would ultimately help keep New England competitive with a two-yard touchdown toss to DeMario Douglas to knot the score at 7-7 later in the first quarter, and he would also lead a late 10-play drive that would culminate in a field goal and put New England within seven points. Maye did an excellent job spreading the ball around by recording completions to nine different pass catchers, and he'll head into a Week 2 divisional road battle against what was a generous Dolphins secondary in Week 1 with plenty of momentum.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Not suited up Thursday
Rotowire
Maye isn't in uniform in advance of Thursday's preseason game at the Giants, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Maye logged two drives apiece in both of the Patriots' first two exhibitions, completing seven of 12 passes for 58 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions, rushing twice for 16 yards and a TD and losing a fumble. He thus has a number of reps under his belt ahead of his second campaign after throwing for 2,276 yards and a 15:10 TD:INT on 66.6 percent passing and turning 54 carries into 421 yards and two scores in 13 regular-season appearances (12 starts) as a rookie.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Leads TD drive Saturday
Rotowire
Maye completed four of seven passes for 46 yards in Saturday's 20-12 preseason win over the Vikings.
The second-year QB didn't add any yards on the ground or toss any TDs in two drives before checking out of the contest, but Maye did help position the Patriots for an eight-yard TreVeyon Henderson rushing score in the first quarter. Maye got his supporting cast upgraded this offseason with the additions of Henderson and Stefon Diggs (knee), and New England is counting on the third overall pick in the 2024 Draft to take a big step forward in 2025.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Better with legs than arm
Rotowire
Maye completed three of five passes for 12 yards in Friday's 48-18 preseason win over the Commanders. He added two rushing attempts for 16 yards and a touchdown but also lost a fumble.
Maye played two drives. He turned the ball over with a fumble on the first but capped the second with a five-yard rushing touchdown. Maye has posted pedestrian passing stats in his young NFL career, but the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has been an effective scrambler, rushing for 30-plus yards in half of his 12 regular-season starts as a rookie. Maye will look to sharpen his passing in the Patriots' second preseason game against the Vikings on Aug. 16.

Patriots' Drake Maye: On track to see snaps Friday
Rotowire
Based on warmups, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site notes that Maye worked with the team's top offense.
Also out there with the second-year QB in that context were RB Rhamondre Stevenson, WRs DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte and Mack Hollins, along with TE Hunter Henry. Meanwhile WR Stefon Diggs wasn't spotted in warmups, which is not surprising given that he's bouncing back from an ACL tear he suffered Week 8 of last season. Coach Mike Vrabel previously indicated that "most everybody that's healthy should expect to play in the game," and Maye indeed appears to be on track to log snaps versus Washington.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Expected to see snaps Friday
Rotowire
The expectation is that Maye will see some action in Friday's preseason opener against the Commanders, Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Though Maye's playing status for Friday's contest hasn't been confirmed by the team, earlier this week coach Mike Vrabel did note that "most everybody that's healthy should expect to play in the game. How long they'll play, I don't know, but we have to prepare to play in football games and prepare to win football games." Also in the mix to see QB snaps for the Patriots versus Washington are Joshua Dobbs and Ben Wooldridge.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Finding stride in minicamp
Rotowire
Maye has looked sharp in practice of late, according to Evan Lazar of Patriots.com.
Maye turned in another solid effort during Monday's minicamp session, continuing a trend that has seen the young QB demonstrate signs of improvement this spring as he adjusts to new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' system. Though the team's practices at this stage are of the non-contact variety, Maye's progress is nonetheless encouraging, with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft noting that he's "starting to really find a stride" as next month's training camp approaches. After logging 2,276 passing yards and a 15:10 TD:INT in 13 appearances as a rookie, Maye enters his second campaign entrenched as New England's starting QB, with the 22-year-old's 2025 fantasy prospects buoyed by a series of offseason additions aimed at improving his supporting cast. While it remains to be seen how productive the team's re-tooled passing game will be, the North Carolina product's running ability could still help him land him on the fantasy radar.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Quick exit in Week 18 win
Rotowire
Maye (hand) failed to complete his only pass attempt before giving way to Joe Milton in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Bills.
The rookie QB was bothered by an issue with his throwing hand during practice this week, and with nothing on the line in Week 18, the Patriots pulled Maye after one series rather than risk further injury. The third overall pick in the 2024 Draft finishes his first NFL campaign with a 66.6 percent completion rate, 2,276 passing yards and a 15:10 TD:INT in 13 appearances, and improving his ball security as well as his production will be the focus for 2025. Maye will also be learning a new offense, as head coach Jerod Mayo and offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt were let go immediately after Sunday's game.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Active versus Bills
Rotowire
Maye (right hand) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Maye was listed as limited in practice this week, before approaching the 3-13 Patriots' season finale with a 'questionable' designation. With his active status versus a Bills team that's locked into the No. 2 playoff seed in the AFC now confirmed, Maye is in line to close out his rookie campaign in the starting lineup, though as Mike Reiss of ESPN notes, it's possible that 2024 sixth-rounder Joe Milton could enter Sunday's contest at some point, either by design (to get him some snaps for evaluation purposes) or as the result of Week 18 game flow.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Another limited practice
Rotowire
Maye (right hand) remained limited at practice Thursday.
Per Ben Volin of The Boston Globe, Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt indicated Thursday that Maye is in line to start Sunday's game against the Bills, who are locked into the No. 2 AFC playoff seed, but the QB may need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a Week 18 injury designation. In any case, while Maye appears on track to close out the regular season in the starting lineup, it remains plausible that 2024 sixth-rounder Joe Milton could enter Sunday's contest at some point, either by design or as a product of game flow.
