  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Role expands in injury-plagued year

Robinson recorded 42 tackles (19 solo) with one pass defended across 14 games with the 49ers in 2025. Fred Warner (ankle) headlined a list of injured linebackers that San Francisco was forced to play without for most of 2025. Robinson -- a career special-teamer -- took advantage of the available defensive snaps and set a new career high in combined tackles (42). The 28-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason, so Robinson will have to re-sign with his current club if he wants to spend a sixth season on the 49ers' special-teams unit.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Healthy scratch again

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday night's game against the Seahawks, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports. Robinson will be a healthy scratch for a third consecutive game, with Eric Kendricks seeming to have earned the No. 2 middle linebacker spot on the depth chart. Robinson will likely not be active again this season as long as the 49ers' linebacker corps maintains its current health.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Inactive against Indy

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Colts. With the Niners deciding to elevate Eric Kendricks from the practice squad, Robinson is the odd man out in the linebacker corps. Robinson has appeared in all 14 games to this point this season, making three starts, and has produced 42 tackles (19 solo) and one pass breakup.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Activated off PUP list

The 49ers activated Robinson (undisclosed) off the active/PUP list Saturday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports. Robinson was dealing with an undisclosed injury to open up training camp but is now healthy again. He appeared in three games with San Francisco last season before suffering a torn ACL and will spend the remainder of the summer competing for a spot on the team's final roster.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Not healthy to open camp

Robinson (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Friday. Robinson missed the majority of the 2024 season with a torn ACL, so the issue could still be lingering. If that's the case, he should have the chance to return at some point during training camp, though an exact timeline is unclear.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Back from IR

The 49ers activated Robinson (ankle) from injured reserve Saturday, Josh Dubow of The Associated Press reports. After missing the 49ers' first five games while recovering from a high-ankle sprain, Robinson returned to practice Wednesday. The 49ers apparently came away encouraged by how Robinson checked out during those three sessions, so he looks as though he could get the chance to make his 2022 debut Sunday in Atlanta. The 24-year-old is projected to serve as a depth option at linebacker.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Lands on IR

The 49ers placed Robinson (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday. Robinson suffered a high ankle sprain during the team's preseason finale and will be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season after landing on IR. As a rookie, the second-year linebacker appeared in six games (spilt evenly between Denver and San Francisco) and recorded six tackles.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Set to miss time with injury

Robinson (groin) is expected to miss the 49ers' practices this week while dealing with a groin injury, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. It's unclear when the 24-year-old sustained this injury, and he's likely a question mark for San Francisco's preseason matchup against the Vikings on Aug. 20. Robinson played exclusively on special teams (37 snaps) over the final three regular-season games for the 49ers in 2021 before re-signing with the team in January. With the second-year middle linebacker sidelined, backups Marcelino McCrary-Ball and Jeremiah Gemmel should see increased snaps during practice this week.

  • Broncos' Curtis Robinson: Injured Thursday

Robinson (thumb, wrist) was injured in Thursday's 17-14 loss to the Browns, Jeff Legwold of ESPN reports. Robinson was on the Broncos practice squad prior to Thursday's game and saw increased action due to Micah Kiser (groin) getting injured during the game. The Broncos linebacker group has been decimated by injuries this season with seven different players hitting the IR since the season started. Robinson will hope to return to practice Thursday, even if in a limited fashion.

  • Broncos' Curtis Robinson: Promoted to active roster

The Broncos elevated Robinson to their active roster from their practice squad Saturday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports. Baron Browning (back) landed on the injury report Friday, so the Broncos will add Robinson to the active roster as a depth piece in case Browning is unable to suit up in Week 4. The rookie will look to make this NFL regular-season debut against the Ravens on Sunday.
