Reggie Robinson: Cut from IR
Robinson (undisclosed) was waived by Chicago with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Robinson was previously waived with an undisclosed injury designation by the Bears last week before passing through waivers unclaimed and reverting to the team's IR. A 2020 fifth-round pick of the Cowboys, Robinson has managed just one career tackle and will now be free to sign with a new team once he's healthy.

The Cowboys placed Robinson (toe) on injured reserve Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Robinson exited last week's preseason contest against the Cardinals as he continued to feel pain from his turf toe injury. He initially tried to push through the injury during training camp, but he will now be given a chance to recover. The 2020 fourth-round pick has upside as a raw, athletic cornerback, but the Tulsa product will have an uphill battle back to NFL action.

Cowboys' Reggie Robinson: Finds playing time late
Robinson recorded one solo tackle and a forced fumble over five games in 2020.
A raw but athletic fourth-round pick out of Tulsa in the 2020 draft, Robinson was as affected by the lack of offseason prep as anybody, and he wound up being inactive for the first 11 games before the coaching staff felt he could be trusted. Even then, he only saw action on defense in two games before being bumped back to special teams for the final three. New defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will provide Robinson with a clean slate, and with the Cowboys likely to see a lot of departures from one of the league's worst secondaries, he could step into a much more significant role next season.
