Kirk (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
The same goes for Nico Collins, who also returned to practice after missing all of last week. Collins is still in concussion protocol but reportedly on track to gain clearance, which means Houston's WR room could be at full strength this Sunday against Denver. It remains to be seen if Collins and/or Kirk will progress to full practice participation Thursday.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Back at practice
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) and Nico Collins (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
The Texans may have their receiving corps back at full strength this Sunday against the Broncos, facing a defense that leads the league in sacks but will now be playing without reigning DPOY Patrick Surtain (pectoral). With Kirk and Collins absent last week, the Texans got solid showings from all of Jaylin Noel, Jayden Higgins and Xavier Hutchinson in a win over the 49ers.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Won't play this week
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
With Nico Collins (concussion) and Kirk both ruled out, the Texans are left with Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Braxton Berrios as the favorites for playing time at wide receiver. Noel made a splash last week with four catches for 77 yards on seven targets in a 27-19 loss at Seattle, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be the main beneficiary in terms of playing time this week. Kirk, meanwhile, has now missed Weeks 1, 2, 7 and 8 with hamstring injuries.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Third straight DNP on Friday
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) remains a non-participant in practice Friday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Kirk and Nico Collins (concussion) haven't practiced all week. Both wide receivers presumably will be ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, though official confirmation won't come until the Texans post their injury report later Friday.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Misses Thursday's practice
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) isn't practicing Thursday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Kirk remains sidelined by the hamstring injury he aggravated prior to Monday's 27-19 loss to Seattle. Nico Collins (concussion) has also started Week 8 prep with two straight missed practices, so rookies Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins could be set for expanded roles Sunday against the 49ers, along with fellow wideouts Xavier Hutchinson and Braxton Berrios.

Texans' Christian Kirk: No return to practice
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) isn't practicing Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
A mid-week addition to the Week 7 injury report, Kirk was ruled out Saturday for Monday's eventual loss to Seattle (in which No. 1 receiver Nico Collins suffered a concussion). Houston may now be without both Kirk and Collins this Sunday against the 49ers, which would leave more routes/targets for some combination of Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Braxton Berrios.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Won't play against Seattle
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Kirk appeared to tweak his hamstring during Friday's practice, and the injury was severe enough to keep the veteran wide receiver off the field for Saturday's session and rule him out for Monday night's game. Kirk's absence opens the door for Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel to see more offensive snaps and looks in the passing game from quarterback C.J. Stroud, especially if the Seahawks' defense hones in on top wideout Nico Collins. Kirk will look to progress enough in his recovery to play in the Texans' Week 8 home clash against the 49ers on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Missing Saturday's practice
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) will not participate in Saturday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kirk popped up on Friday's practice report as a limited participant due to a hamstring injury. His downgrade to a DNP doesn't bode well for his chances of playing against the Seahawks on Monday, and his injury designation should be announced by the Texans following the conclusion of Saturday's practice. The Texans would turn to Xavier Hutchinson and rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel to take on larger roles in the offense behind top wideout Nico Collins if Kirk is not cleared to play against Seattle.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Added to injury report
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) was limited at practice Friday.
Kirk wasn't listed on Thursday's initial injury report, so his addition a day later is notable. Added context regarding his status will arrive no later than Saturday when the Texans post their Week 7 injury designations ahead of Monday night's game against the Seahawks. If Kirk is limited or out versus Seattle, Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel would be candidates to absorb added snaps alongside top WR Nico Collins.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Narrowly misses out on TD
Rotowire
Kirk recorded four receptions on four targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 44-10 win over the Ravens.
Kirk had his best day as a Texan due primarily to a 47-yard catch to start the fourth quarter, narrowly missing a touchdown while being taken down at the three-yard line. Houston has spread its targets relatively evenly between several different pass catchers early this season, leaving Kirk with only four targets in consecutive games. That limited volume will hurt his fantasy outlook, though Sunday's big play was encouraging.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Sleeper WRs
Rotowire
Kirk hasn't done much in his two games this season with a combined six catches for 45 yards on 12 targets against Jacksonville and Tennessee, but he could be a nice surprise in Week 5 at Baltimore given the matchup. The Ravens are dealing with several defensive injuries coming into this game, and Baltimore is No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Six receivers have already scored at least 12.4 PPR points against the Ravens, and Kirk could follow suit as a complementary option to Nico Collins. I would use Kirk as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in this matchup.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Modest output in win
Rotowire
Kirk caught three of four targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Titans in Week 4.
Kirk was active for a second game after missing the first two weeks of the year with a hamstring injury. He's totaled 12 targets, more than any Houston receiver who has appeared in all four games aside from Nico Collins (31). Kirk will remain the No. 2 wideout for now, but rookie Jayden Higgins, who caught his first NFL touchdown Sunday, could push for the role as the season progresses.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Week 4 Adds (WR Preview)
Rotowire
Kirk's first game back was nothing to write home about, but there were some encouraging signs. He played almost two-thirds of the snaps in his debut and was second on the team with a 22% target share. Once he gets in sync with C.J. Stroud, he should be able to turn that type of volume into WR3 production on a regular basis.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Three catches in season debut
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) brought in three of four targets for 25 yards in the Texans' 17-10 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
Making his season/team debut, Kirk finished tied for third in receptions on another relatively difficult day for the Texans' passing game. The veteran wideout was projected to serve as an effective short-to-mid-range complement to Nico Collins coming into the season, and now that Kirk is finally healthy, he'll have a chance to start building chemistry with C.J. Stroud on an ongoing basis and likely provide Houston's struggling air attack with a boost. Kirk next takes aim at the Titans' inconsistent defense in a Week 4 home matchup.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Limited again
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Kirk has now logged back-to-back limited sessions after taking the practice field for the first time this season Wednesday. The veteran appears primed for a starting role alongside Nico Collins in Houston's wide receiver corps, once fully healthy. He'll work to gain clearance in time to make his team debut Sunday on the road against Jacksonville, though to avoid an injury designation for Week 3 he'll likely need to upgrade to full practice reps Friday.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Back at practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) is participating in Wednesday's practice, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Kirk is on the field for his first practice of the 2025 regular season, so while he figures to be officially listed as limited, this nonetheless represents a tangible step in the right direction for the veteran wideout. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday he expects Kirk to make his team debut versus Jacksonville on Sunday, a development that would figure to see him join Nico Collins atop a wide receiver corps otherwise housing Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Stashes (WR Preview)
Rotowire
We are hopeful that Christian Kirk will return this week, and the Texans need him even more than Fantasy managers do. Kirk should thrive on short area targets with C.J. Stroud behind a much-maligned Texans' offensive line. Kirk is better in full PPR leagues and will hopefully help C.J. Stroud's career-low 40.4% success rate. You may not want to start Kirk in his first game back, but you should definitely roster him.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Expected back for Week 3
Rotowire
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday that he anticipates Kirk (hamstring) making his team debut Sunday in Jacksonville, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Acquired from the Jaguars in March, Kirk missed the Texans' first two games of the season while he recovered from a hamstring injury, which has kept him from practicing since the end of the preseason. The veteran wideout's condition appears to have improved during his time off, but Kirk will still likely need to upgrade to full participation in practice by Friday in order to receive clearance to play against one of his former teams. The potential return of Kirk to the lineup Sunday could help bolster a Texans passing attack that ranks 28th in the NFL with an average of 166.5 yards per game through the first two weeks.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Week 3 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) has yet to practice after getting hurt prior to Week 1, and we don't know when he's going to return to action, although it would be nice if he could face his former team at Jacksonville in Week 3. When healthy, he should be the No. 2 receiver for the Texans opposite Nico Collins, and Kirk has the potential to be a No. 3 Fantasy option in all leagues. He's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Not practicing Friday
Rotowire
Kirk (hamstring) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kirk also missed Thursday's session, which gives him one more chance to practice ahead of Monday night's game against the Buccaneers. If Kirk is ruled out for the contest, look for some combo of Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel to log added slot reps alongside fellow WRs Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins.
